What happened to Facilitec?

This inquiring mind would like to know too ! It will be interesting to see if they are still Certified, and if they are not if anybody takes notice or even cares.

I have not seen the effective delivery of service to standards by national companies, in my opinion they deliver invoices and cater to a bottom line. I was particularly amused recently to learn one national company uses another national company as an "affiliate" (subcontractor). Sooo, lets say I own and operate restaurants across the nation and fire a cleaning company I am dissatisifed with. I then hire another national cleaner only to have the cleaner that I fired return !?!
 
I've heard of BIG trouble in Eco-town. I heard it from a guy who heard it from a guy, so I'm not disclosing any details. Other than BIG trouble in Eco-town.

The "suits" have probably come down hard screaming "Where are the sales ????":confused:

They probably looked at the cost of certifying their crew leaders and inspectors, flying them all to the conventions every year and decided it was not cost effective - considering the sales figures are probably not what was projected.

Maybe the stock holders are screaming, "Where are our dividends?"

Glad I work for a "mom and pop".

This support line says they are still certified. They would not say by whom. Maybe you guys can get that info. Its curious they say they are but Matt says they no longer belong. Maybe like the PWNA they dont have to be a member to be certified???????? That means they might not be on the listing. or maybe its just a mistake. I couldnt imagine these guys not being certified, i've heard there pitch.
 
They no longer are IKECA Certified-the time ran out and they did not renew membership. We have no idea what they are doing and lots of us just don't care. Not sure what is going to happen to their national accounts that require IKECA Certification.
 
I have been told that National Fire- aka Ducs Unlimited are now the new owners.

I talked to a Facilatec employee the other day. He hadn't heard a thing about anything. He was driving a nice new Dodge truck though and had a pretty little compressor in the back to power his air tools, everything new. He was a G2 installer, so hood cleaning didn't really concern him.
 
I'm curious. We encountered one of their crews servicing a location about 30 yards from us. I walked in to say hello. All 3 were sitting on the appliances and smoking something. They did not give a 'wholesome' appearance (well maybe better than Matt). If it were me I would be hesitant to entrust them with the entire premises - I'm not exaggerating. The 2 stores were about the same degree of difficulty, however the 2 of us were done and had secured the store before the 3 of them had tipped the fans. I would become a Whopper-flopper before I would spend all night on a 2 hour job. Are they subs, or do they get paid by the hour?

I don't see much of an advantage in subcontracting for anyone. Get the work yourself and keep the whole enchilada. If the customer wants to deal with a national company, then thats their problem.

Sooner or later they'll be going back to the local guy. It gets old dealing with a guy, who deals with a guy, who deals with a guy.
 
All it takes is a some bad service and they'll be back to the mom and pops.
As for the "national accounts" well, we're doing fine without them but I'll answer the phone if they call.

National F. and Ducts U. are owned by the same guy that apparently bought Facilitec, Mirza. What is your little mouse saying, "got into some trouble?"
 
My mouse said the hotel was sueing. I don't think Facilatec was suposed to be using subs, especially subs with no insurance.

So I guess that Facilatec is PWNA now.
