My two hot water skids are Hydrotek and Landa. Both had there ups and downs with the downs mostly being my fault but all in all they have been great.

Here's a picture of my Hydrotek on a trailer and the other is of my Landa in my Van right before I vented it out.

I' ll get some photos of our newer Whitco unit . J.R. and Pete have it in Hammond Louisiana , They got the 5 Popeyes run this 6 months..

Nice lookin machines so far guys.

Hey aint hood cleaning awful.. you make good money but then you can take a great looking rig and surround it with greasy everything and it looks like well .....a hood cleaning rig ................Hmmmm.

I have 4 hot water gas powered skids,an All American(my favorite)5gpm 3500psi ,Landa 5gpm 3500 psi, Hotsy 4gpm 3000psi,and an older Northern 3gpm 2800psi(my first machine) and a hotwater 110 volt electric Landa 2gpm 1000psi where I don't want to run a gas engine, and as a back up. I am currently upgrading the Hotsy with a 20hp watercoolled Kawasaki engine, and a 5gpm 3500psi cat pump. No photos yet,but Ill try to post some.

John that Hydro Tek setup looks Great... I like that shiny surface cleaner.. .. real nice looking equipment. I have never had a hydro tek before but I had a Landa back in the early 90's and that thing lasted forever .. I think my buddy still has it in his shop ..
It was a 1200 psi hot water machine ( elec) ... I will have to see if he still has it..

Also I looked at a Hydro tek unit the other day but not sure if I want it or another Whitco...

Hello John B,

Our primary truck uses a Whitco boiler. 980,000 Btu Lp. Our pumps use electric motors, so we have a 45 Kw genset on board. Currently we are using a General TSF2221 that puts out 10.2 gpm @ 3000. We control this pump using a Baird Bypass Relief valve. We dial up the pressure and then select the tip size and fan for the job at hand. Much of the time we run two wands.

We use this type of equipment because it allows us the flexability to complete a wide range of tasks.

In the process of setting up my new rig, 8GPM, 3500 PSI Hot/cold, 3000 watt generator, 335 gallon feed tank, 165g reclaim tank, with a sump pump, 80g chlorine tank, 3- 20 gallon chemical tanks, 30" Big Boy surface cleaner, 13hp 5Gpm 4000 PSI back up cold unit, set up on a 16' tandem trailer with a ladder rack and a 5' toolbox. My first rig, but from my research, this seemed to be the way to go.

I have a PressurePro 8gpm 3500psi 120v hot water skid. It's done great.

Not much selection on the brands for this poll!

I think what makes a machine good or bad is the support you get after you buy it...they're all basically the same. Depending on who you talk to, a Honda is the best motor, a Briggs is the best motor, a Kohler is the best motor, etc...and a General is the best pump, or a CAT is the best pump, or an AR is the best pump, etc etc...120v is the best, 12v is the best, Becket burners are better, Wayne burners are better, and on and on.

Mine is a 24hp Honda with a General TSF2021 and a Becket burner. It's the best. LOL!

Shoot Mikey..We finally agree:eek: Not the same "Brand" but the same guts here...you just show the ol honda the key and it gets to purrin' I think my 24 HP is a few horses over for the rig but it's there in case I need to run my lights or some other electric tools so no complaints here:D

Oh, I'm sure we agree on quite a few things!

The 24 on mine is because it is a 120v system, so I need the extra HP to run the generator.

The Briggs I have is a great motor too. Never have a problem starting it, except when I burn out a solenoid, or when I had a bad ground on the frame. Other than that, fires up every time!
