Where are you guys mounting your 12 volt pumps?

I have seen some guys mount their 12 volt pumps in the black plastic battery boxes, some have them on the side of hot water rigs, seen some just lying there in the trailer, etc...

I am looking for a good place to mount the 12 volt pump, it will be connected to a marine battery and going to a hose reel for several applications.\

Anyone have some pictures where you have the pump mounted?

Thank you.

I made our set-up portable. It's mounted in a toolbox. Easy to carry.

I did the same thing, I like being able to use the tank on the back of the truck sometimes, so it makes it easy to say on the tail gate

I have a 3.0 Shurflo. I'm thinking of mounting it next to my PW in a battery box and connecting it to the pw battery. Then plumbing a 15 gallon to it, to run chems through my HP hose, rinsing each time of course. I just don't have room for a 3rd hose reel!

Mine is mounted under the kitchen sink in my RV trailer. Runs the shower, toilet, and the sinks. :)

That was a good one Mike. hahahaha

Don't do that. Use your garden hose instead.

That is a nice cart Matt, how many gpm's? What is the psi of that pump?

Are you worried about the heat buildup in the box?

Its a 5850........ its the pump in the box set up from Bob.... ( computer fan is mounted in there )..... He was steering me towards just the pump and not the box... I told him Id rather have it in a box and mounted on a cart to protect it from elements...and i wanted a clean look..$100 wasn't gonna kill me.. My set up is an open trailer... so I may catch rain while on the road.. I really only used it Friday for the first time... Ended up using it on all 3 jobs I had scheduled.

Thanks Matt, I had my welder make a plate above the axle, hooks near the top in the front to hold hose and a plate in the back to mount the pump vertically so hopefully I will have this portable unit working this coming week. I also need to rig up one on the trailer with the hose reel for other purposes.

Thanks Art, I was thinking a thin plate of aluminum on the inside and outside of the box myself to help with the weight of the pump if I mount it on the outside of the box.

I do have a marine battery right now on the trailer for the Hannay Hose Reel right now and it works great for that, I can just connect the pump to that for power.

I have mine mounted on the the side of the aluminum skid under the reel

Thanks Chad. The garden hose was my first thought, then I figured it would be too wide. HP hose cost so much to replace, I'll stick with the garden hose.

Yes sir. It's a little heavy but like you said they're cheaper to fix and replace until you get some poly braid or AG hose.
