Wood stain on concrete!!

How do you get wood stain off of concrete? My dad owns a door refinishing business and one of his employees got some stain on a customers sidewalk, then tried to clean it with a papertowel and made the stain bigger then tried to clean it with a bucket of water. Haha

Ive never cleaned stain so I dont know what to do!!

If it's still fresh you might try some Kitty Litter and let it sit on the stain to soak up as much as possible. Just a thought, I've used it on oil

I use paint thinner (mineral spirits) around the house quite abit. I would give that a try. I am pretty sure it will work.

Caustic will emulsify stain.
That's the main ingredient in deck stripper and you know it's safe for concrete.

Caustic is good just make sure you cover the door or you will re-finish it when the job is done.

I have used quickcrete concrete powder in the small 5 lb bags. Just sprinkle some on the stain, mash in with foot then wet it down with a fine mist. Covers pretty good.

I just don't think stain will completely come out. I know masonary stain will not because I have tried.

Good luck with it, I would make no promises and test a small area so you don't waist a bunch of your time.
