Anyone do any banks?

The building and walks I would have no problem with. I saw the results Carlos had with ebc cold water on a gas station and thought I could have good results I'm not trying to argue nor get insulted. I appreciate the help just don't really appreciate ppl rubbing someone else's business in my face because of how big they are and what they have and I don't.

Matt, I don't think the guys are trying to insult you, really just trying to help you. A cold water machine isn't equipped to do commercial with gum and grease. It won't work. They are just telling you the facts. Add hot water and you will be able to play. It's kind of like playing baseball without a glove.....you can catch the first ball or two with just your hands but it doesn't last long. You have to have the right equipment. Carlos also won't clean gas stations with cold water, he was just showing how effective EBC can be. How will you pop up gum without doing damage to the concrete without hot water?

Dont lose hope boss. Alot of people say you cant clean roofs without a 5k+ investment, and that you cant build a house without a power saw. It may take alot longer to do it but its possible just price accordingly. Decide how much it cost you to acquire the customer (hours invested count), how much your insurance cost you, what your time is worth, how much its going to cost to expand, and plan for a safety net budget. My only tip for commercial work is try not to make one account more then 50% of your business.

Jeremy and Nicolas is right...you won't find me doing gas stations with cold water on a regular basis. Did the video cause a contractor over on FB wanted to know how EBC would work on some greasy concrete as he had a job that was coming up where he needed to do some grease removal and he only has cold water. I also wanted to know cause I just wanted to know about the capabilities of the product.

If you are bumping up into the commercial work then by all means work towards in saving every dime you make and purchase a unit with hot water capability. It will make your life so much easier. Not trying to discourage anyone from doing commercial flat work with a cold water unit but rest assured you will be spending some precious time on those jobs. If EBC or any soap line is there to help you expedite your time and get favorable results from the work and your customer is satisfied....well....life is a little better I guess.

P.S. - that gas station video that I shot. I only did that one section with cold water. The rest of the station was hit with hot water.

P.S.S - we've been know to do a few banks also on a regular basis.

Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions! I'm looking into getting a hot water unit right now

I can use a cold washer and often clean better than most with hot.

Actually with a deck brush scrapper and garden hose. Of course the right chems

Learned this long ago, there's a post here telling the story.

Text me for info on Milwaukee event. 480-522-5227

Say what??

Definitely have a scrapper...brush..and the proper chems on the rigs at all time. Thats needed even before the heater. There are techniques that are as big a part of cleaning as the chemical. ...so ron what do you like for drive thru chems at banks. We use a tsp, pot hydroxide, butyl scrubbed in the heavy spots and ds over rest. We also have been playing with something called hot chocolate made by a local guy Pressure Washers USA.

Changing the industry thru education

I think I read that somewhere.

I run all Hot water Units, theres a Funny story how I learned this lesson here on PWI from a Guy names Les and a Special needs child named Arron. I'll find it,i had been in this business over 20 years and was not in believing this either till I saw it with my own eyes.

Les a member here from North carolina Never used hot water his entire Career. I have run nothing but hot water units, I'll keep searching for the story or I will re-write it.
