13 hp still running rough

Still wrestling with this engine. I cleaned out he carb twice, and got everything really good. It still runs rough and then starts pulsating. Can anyone give me a hint as to whats going on?

geez the video is as rough as the engine! I guess the engine is too loud for my camera.

When mine was doing that a while back I changed the carb gasket and problem was solved. Also you need a new air filter.

got new gaskets on there. maybe I should tighten them or spray them with wd 40 . Yeah Ill find a new filter somewhere.

Hey Russ can you please check this video out, and see if you can detect the problem here. I am anxious to get his thing running smooth so I can order a pump for it and hook my machines together.

I noticed the choke was closed in the video. Does it run like that when it's open?
Have you changed spark plug?

I'm running internet off a 4g connection with less than desirable reception, but the engine doesn't sound bad to me.

It sounds better on the video. It runs rough with a little backfire, the after about 45 seconds stats pulsating/surging.

Is the choke open all the way? When it starts to surge, does closing the choke slightly smooth it out?

it runs it's smoothest with the choke closed all the way!

Yes. Use a guitar string. I did screw around with the little screw on the side. Would that do it?

No, the screw on the side is related only to idle rpms.
