7 home relevant pump

I have my Delevan hooked to 175 feet of half inch hose. I am using a 4010 tip and a large straight shooter. I am not hooked to a hose reel. I can not get the pump to stop pulsating while using the 4010 or a soap nozzle. Any ideas? I don't think 175 feet is to much.

I don't use electrics,..so take what I say with that in mind.

Anyhow, try a bigger nozzle,..like a 0030 or 2530,.... or even just remove the nozzle and see if the pulsating stops. 10 GPM nozzle seems small for spraying roof mix,...but as I said,...I don't use electrics so I don't know what others use.

a thirty huh ? I can get out to work fine with a shooter tip. And yes when it is disconnected it does not pulsate.

I was under the impression as long as the tip was rated same or more as the pump all will be good.

I would size your tips to match the pump. If you don't have one, get an accumulator. Pick up a 00 and a 15 in a smaller gpm for when you need to slow your flow down and be more precise.

You can also adjust the flow with an Allen wrench by adjusting a screw on the back I believe. Locate that screw, open your gun full blast back into your tank and adjust it until the pulsating stops.

Accumulator is your best bet, but absent that....

Can you please post a link when you get a chance? I would appreciate it.

Number 10 tips are too small an restrict the flow to much. You need number 30 or 40 tips to stop the pulsating. Call Bob at pressuretek he can explain why this happens better than I can but the tips are the answer even without the accumulator.

The other thing with using these pumps and trying to match the GPM of the nozzle to the pump. These pumps aren't designed to push through 150+ feet of hose,..they are typically made for short lines, hoses, spray bars etc... So I think the nozzle matching goes out the window with these long lines and all that restriction.

I have 300 ft on mine and use the fatboy tips from bob at pressure tek...but I still had to get it dialed in using an allen key on the top of the pump

Thanks Mike.

Just go to the next size up in nozzle. End of problem
