8gpm pressure washer brand preference?

I am looking into a new machine. I am looking for a 8gpm unit and have looked at Hydroteks, Hydromax, and Pressure Pro units so far. Been trying to find someone local that sells but coming up empty on that. Local service would be nice but may not get it. Is there any other units I should look at as well. Any certain engine, pumps or anything else I should steer away from or towards. My current machine has a 24hp liquid cooled Kohler and has a Cat pump. Just need to step up to the 8gpm machine. Any certain places to look at buying from?

Depending on the outcome with Silver Eagle I'll be ordering an 8GPM Hydrotek from Russ. I haven't heard anything bad about Hydromax. Jerry and Landa makes a great unit as well. Keep in mind that the Pressure Pro units use the same coil they have in their smaller units and I heard they only get up to about 160 degrees.

I'm also facing a 41" total height restriction though also. I need to be able to still fit into underground parking garages with it.

Looking for a new unit for fleet washing. Been looking at the skid units. It will probably go in a box truck when all said and done. Looked at the Shark and they said they only go to 5.6 gpm's.

Steve I did take a quick look at your site. I will have to go back and look again.

Shark will make you an 8gpm, but its over 4 grand. Nice machines though. It's what I run.

Are you talking about a hot or cold water unit Chris? I think Roy is talking about a hot water skid.

Hotsy, Landa, Alkota, Hydrotek, etc.... are all great brands.

When you look at skids, they are all basically the same, only so many engines, pumps, unloaders, coils, etc.... available, the difference is how they put it all together, the warranty, tech support (if any with some brands) and if they offer any type of training.

For fleet washing I would not go under 5gpm's but not over 8gpm's, some parts of the country you will need warm water for winter washing, some parts you will never need warm or hot water unless you do degreasing.

I have found an 8gpm @3000psi hot water skid for around $5800 new. It is a Pressure Pro. Are these as good of a machine as any other? I am hearing that they use a small coil that is used in the smaller units. Is that so and if so can it be upgraded. For the money is there anything else that competes? I have been hearing good and bad about the Honda engines lateley. Would the Suburu engine be any better. My current unit has a liquid cooled Kohler and it has been pretty good. What is the customer service like with Pressure Pro units. I need some input on this as to whether I should pursue this unit or maybe look at a Hydrotek or something. For the money it sounds like a good deal.
