A couple questions

After turning off the pressuer washer is it better to put the trigger to releave the pressuer in the hose or leave the pressure there?
I wash 20 bread trucks twice a week, I brush the truck then spray it off. is it ok to leave the pressure washer running the whole time? I don't want to turn it off and restart it for every truck, It takes only about 3 minutes to brush a truck.

If you are going to restert the machine, leave the pressure in the hose. That way, the pump starts under no load and you won't have to hold the gun open. I don't recommend storing it like this however.

Is the pressure washer hooked to a garden hose? If so make sure you have a long bypass hose to help keep the water that is recirculating cooler. If you are hooked to a tank it is better to run the bypass into the tank to keep fresh water going to the pump. While 3 minutes is not a long time, to do that 20 times every time you wash will shorten the life of your pump. I started running an open gun and have had no pump problems since.

easy start valve

I installed an easy start valve on a direct drive unit I have. When the trigger gun is closed, the easy start valve releases a small amount of water(cooling the water in the pump). It also makes it easy to start because you don't have to hold the trigger open.

Once the engine starts and the pump is under pressure the easy start closes. It only bypasses water during start up.
