Additional Insured Status Time

How long does it take the underwriters to get you your certificating naming a property/company additional insured.

My agent/underwriters group takes sometimes 2 weeks, I have herd others that only take a day or so but this is rediculous. I will be looking into another carrier in the near future if we cannot resolve it.


How long does it take Joe Walters?
 
I call my agent with the person, company or associations name and they fax it within 15 minutes at no charge... Very simple very easy....:yes:
 
Joe Walters does mine. I've had them do it once, but it was done in a couple hours

Same here....
 
I have had it back in less than 15 minutes. Paying for an additional insured is a ripoff, in my opinion. I have never had to, and when talking to other insurance agents, they are apalled.

Ditto.

Any agent charging you a dime to name an insured on a certificate is robbing you, in my opinion.
 
In the past my insurance company never charged, now if I need one sent it's a one time fee of $25.00
 
i had two done today from joe walters today and i got them less than 30min and no charge i have been with them for 5 years now an never had to wait for one chi chi is great there also bonnie ann they are a great insurance company:yes4::yes4::yes4::yes4:

I make a call and they add it on and bill me $106. Sometimes you can just name them put the company name on the insur cert

You can Try Joe Walters insurance, I dont use him, I have a great local company, but Waltersdoes a ton of washing companies

Are you just talking about having a certificate issued in the property/company's name or are you talking about having them listed on your policy as additional insured. I have no clue why its being requested so often now but alot of property managers in the area are asking for it and its 104.75 each time. I will post a certificate that has the additional status on it as well as one without the status listed. Is this what you are talking about
 
Photo 1 is just a certificate issued in the name of the property, this does not cost me anything and is usually done with in 24hrs

photo 22 shows additional status for the property on the certificate in the statutes box. To get this it costs me 105 plus at least 1 week. Are we talking about the same things. To get additional status on a certificate is has to go through the underwriters, not the secretary at the insurance office
