Adjusting your prices for 2013

2 years ago I jumped up on price and have set minimums in place. I've lost plenty of jobs due to clients thinking we were too high. Not a problem. There are still plenty who don't mind paying for quality. Our bottom line has actually increased even with losing a few here and there. I am with Vince on this one. If gas and other items increase we will adjust our prices accordingly.

Setting minimums and following this part of a business plan is why we're in business today and for years to come.

Great Post Buddy!!!

My prices are under contract, some are under contract for the next 3 or 4 years. If there is a time when I need to renegotiate my contract, I have to justify it, but I can do so using the CPI (Consumer Price Index) When I researched my contracts, I used an inflated fuel price, because I knew that there was a possibility of future revenue problems. I don't think I have ever raised prices, but I have always made decent prices to start.

Yes I will be adjusting them a little on my washing services. I may just do a couple of small incraments instead of one big one to take away the sticker shock.

I was thinking the same thing about setting a minimun.

The reason I asked about adjusting prices for 2013 cause my insurance jumped some. Idk if because I live in FL (insurance hike capital of the world!?!?)

whose your insurance with???
