Air Aspiration Nozzle/Tip??

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as an air-aspirating tip we can put on our guns to take full advantage of our surfactants?? As a full time firefighter, when we flow foam we have some nozzles that do this and increase our foam volume. Seems like a similar tip would benefit us greatly as we would not need to use as much surfactant or SH. We could increase dwell time significantly and therefore not need to make the sauce quite as strong. (correct me if that is incorrect).

If you want to see what the fire service nozzle looks like you can google it. Search images for Vindicator Nozzle. Got to figure something like this would be a great breakthrough for us. Does anyone agree?

Maybe something like this?

Stainless steel construction ideal for food grade applications.

Thick foam is produced when air flows through vented injector housing and mixes with water and chemical stream.
Wet foam allows more efficient use of chemical
More durable than conventional foamers

SPECIFICATIONS:

Orifice: 3.0 Red Dot
Flow Rate: 3.96 to 7.00 GPM
Input: 1/4" FPT
Length: 24"
Temperature: 300 F. maximum 41 F minimum
Pressure: 900 PSI maximum

Sweet!! Will that work with a Delevan FatBoy with Accumulator?!?!

Looks neat, viewing the attachments it looks very much like a down-stream injector. Am I correct in my observation? If so, does it require power washer pressures to make it work? I'm looking for an application to use with my Delevan FatBoy Bandit set-up. Wondering if I may have to wait until I upgrade to an air-compressor driven pump????

Thanks for helping Chad, I really appreciate it.

Russ,

How much will one of these bad boys set me back?? Is there a minimum pressure that needs to be delivered to it for it to function properly? I'm guessing it's usually used in conjunction with a power washer of some sort. Is that correct? Would be awesome if it will work at 50-70 psi at the end of a 200 foot 3/4" kuri-tech hose!! Can you advise??

I'm looking for it all over your site and can't find it on any of the pages so that I can read more information about it. Can you tell me the model # and where to find the information?

Thanks Russ!

Hey Mike no problem. Yea the second one is pretty much like and injector. The first one would require air and since your running a 12 volt system that ones out of the running to.
Dema makes a ton of different injectors, foam applicators etc.
I would try the one from Russ. If it doesn't work out then no harm no foul.

Russ, is it the "tip itself" that is aspirating the air or is that taking place inside the wand? If it's the tip it would be tremendous to be able to use it with a quick-connect!! Does it come off the end of the gun? If so, what type of thread does the tip have on it? If you need to sell me the entire piece, that's okay, just want to know before hand what I have to work with to modify it for my Bandit gun.
