I was just talking with a pool company that sold chlorine,
it sounds like quite a few people here use it. and I asked the
sales guy if that was the strongest chlorine they sold 12% ?
He said no, they sell a product called Super Shock, it contains
35% chlorine but is granular, Im just wondering if one could use this
instead and use 1/3 as much, ? you could carry alot less with you?
he said 10 lbs was 29.95

Just Curious

How big a tank are you going to use that supershock in? It is designed for swimming pools, not small batch applications.

Big Tank ?

No what I meant was, if you use 1 cup of chlorine in a 5 gallon mix
to wash 1 house, could you use 1/3 cup of super shock instead,
my point is carrying less amounts but stronger, so instead of carrying
3 lbs of liquid chlorine 12% on your truck for the day, could you get by
carrying only 1lb of super shock at 35% chlorine ( saves room) maybe money

Okay, nevermind the tank, as you are using a bucket. Supershock is made for pools, not small batch applications. They say to mix 1lb to 10,000 gallons of water, and you want to split it up for very small. You could try it if you really want to, but I highly doubt it will work, but let us know.
I do agree on the space thing, and prefer powders to liquid, but this has been talked about before and the results were not that great.

Aside from the legal issue, I don't see why mixing smaller, stronger batches from granules wouldn't work. Of course it says to mix 1lb to 10k gallons, that is for swimming pool applications and you're not trying to make a swimming pool full of 12% Chlorine, you're trying to add a miniscule amount to the pool water to kill things and whatever else chlorine does in pool water. How much water it would take to 1lb of granules to make a 12% solution is the question.

If you want to get into Laws, then let's start with where everyones wasterwater is going after they wash. This too is a Federal Law, but people seem to evade it all the time.

Regardless of laws, some people will do anything for a buck.
