I talked with a guy on the east coast today, and I was just wondering if
anyone has ever heard or tried this method on washing houses..?

He claims that he only uses his gun, not a wand, and a special orifice
set up that he can shoot a stream of water 40 feet in the air
to clean houses with, of course it is low pressure, but I just never
seen or heard of such a device..?

Just Wondering?

what is his

GPM and PSI?
A 3/8ths hose barb with a 1/4 barb screwed into a QD or right into a gun would shoot water pretty far.
40 ft is far. That is the peak of a 3 story house.
Was the guy's name GARY?

you can get a set-up

that is a high GPM and lower psi and shoot water like a fireman.
There are pics posted by MARK on Dan's site.

Ron Would that

Hey Ron,
Would that work on a 5-6 GPM machine ?
also, he says Giant makes the best Gun, no wrist snap when u pull the
trigger ?

if you dont like the wrist snap you can change from a pressure unloader to a flow type unloader. K-7 type.
If you use the search on this site you will see homemade x-jet's built by HOT WASH.

I just made one of those homemade x-jets. Haven't had a chance to check the draw rate, going to do that tomorrow. The x-jet wide open has a 2.4:1 draw rate on my machine, according to their chart. Hopefully I can get that with my contraption. Only cost about $12.00 to make, including 20' of plastic tubing. The only difference is the spray patter at the end, I would like to figure out how to get a similar pattern to that of the x-jet, but haven't looked into what options there are. Anyone have any ideas?

Smaller spray

Mike,

I assume that you are using a hose barb on the discharge side? You can either use a smaller barb on the discharge size, or use a barb that is longer, thus creating less dispersion.

x-jet

I am not sure if what I use is like the east coast person is using. I do not use a wand. I just plug my x-jet into the end of my gun. Never had any problems reaching anything.
