Never used a machine with those specs... have got 5.5's and a 9gpm @ 3,500 and 3,000 psi respectively. The higher and lower flows have their uses for different applications and situations.
If you have a hotbox with that 2,500 psi machine, it could make for a good gum picking machine. It would push a surface cleaner, but you would probably want short runs of hose due to pressure loss in 3/8" hose.
If it was me, I would want a second machine that I knew could be used in multiple applications, but the majority of our work is commercial sidewalk and building cleaning. Long runs of hose and higher output pressure needed.
However, it would serve a purpose in residential settings at it has adequate flow and reduced pressure.
