Is there anyone here washing fleets for FedEx?

Joe in Brownsville, Tx was washing them, there is a thread over on Fleet Wash Academy about it.

Sorry about that Ron.

Thanks for putting that link in there.

There are people saying that Fleetwash and Superior Truck Wash are lowballing each other like crazy to get all the FedEx locations around the country and shutting others out.

Our local FedEx Ground, their drivers in our area are independent contractors and the drivers are responsible for maintenance of their own trucks (thats FedEx Ground, I dont know about the other branches in my area).

Fedex ground is all independent. Yesterday, we had a Fedex truck go by that had been tagged. I was really surprised they let it slide by, even for a day.
I don't like doing washes for independent contractors like that, because it just is really unprofitable for me.

FedEx Ground

We do FedEx Ground and HD. They are both private contractors theoretically, but in our area they are governed by strict corporate rules. We lost most of our fleet work when the economy crashed, and FedEx cut us way back. Back in the day we were picking up accounts because they wanted to be as clean as Fedex! We just two stepped them today for the first time in about 2-3 years. You never really know how much your soap and brush miss until you see the white pop out when the chems react. Today was step one in trying to get them to restore the budget.
Each contractor has money withheld from their pay that is intended to cover their truck wash, but it's like social security going into the general fund...

Fedex Express

You guys should check with Fedex Express. They are the original corporate trucks. They have the high reputation to withhold. I worked for express for 7 years, and they had all the delivery trucks washed every other night (this was in Cali and Nevada).

Like everyone said above, Fedex Ground is independent contractors. They are withheld to high standards under the Fedex Corp umbrella, but they are still mostly "mom & pop" owners of one or more routes, and are very tight with their money (I've worked for Ground also).

its the same here in viriginia too

From my understanding this is Fedex's wash schedule set by the corporate offices

Freight & LTL Monthly (all tractors and Van's as well as liftgates

Express, Home Delivery, Ground are 2 times per week

I do a few locations for Fleetwash but only monthly. You can always call them and just ask if they have any jobs in the area and they'll sub it out too you.
