Apple Roof Cleaning's First Roof Cleaning Truck

Well, whaddya know ?
I found an Internet archive that stores OLD web pages, and lookie what I found ?
A long lost picture of an old friend, my very first roof cleaning truck!

She never had a "proper' funeral, so here is some appropriate music

I made every mistake one can make on it, you live and learn ?

Bought it from a buy here pay here car lot, LOL

Always wanted a flatbed, especially after a trailer broke loose with 500 gallons of Love

I remember my Boy and I taking her out for her first test run.

She would not hold the weight of that big tank filled up with mix!

I cleaned several neighbors for free, just to "get rid" of some chemical, and off we drove.

Her little 4 banger strained, but she lasted almost two tears.
Had to get her springs beefed up by adding two leafs.

The astute will notice the Titan Stainless Reel, and the orange ag hose.
That was only 1/2 inch hose, we didn't "know" any better then that big pumps like big hose.

Had to learn!

She was John Blue PP 193 equipped at 19.3 GPM, and like all my trucks, sprayed like a male cat, LOL

She later got a bigger Titan Reel + 5/8 hose, and sprayed even better.

All my trucks, even my very first, followed my philosophy of big tanks, big pumps, and large hose.

BTW, the little truck single handedly took down this whole apartment complex in the background!

This is your obituary Old Girl, may you rust in peace.

LOL! That's a lot of weight for a four banger. I bet you went through a lot of brakes too.
Yeah, still do!
When you are carrying 500 to 600 gallons around, brakes tend to go fast!
That's why i like Isuzu NPR's!

I found these pictures of my ranger from 1995, I ran under Sherwood pressure cleaning & roof washing back then. Sherwood is my middle name, ha-ha. It was so nice and shinny back then, before old yellow took it's toll. 3 hose reels across the back, 200' of 3/8", 100' of 3/4" intake, & 200' of h/p 3/8". I had a 45gal mix tank up against the cab with a shurflo wired to the truck battery, a deep cycle marine. I was really proud of my rig back then. I scanned them in and there are not the best quality.

Tim,You've probably saved a small fortune over the years by using small truck mount rigs.

I probably have, back then I only worked by myself and was learning a lot. I wish I could keep running that truck, but we just can't carry enough love and supplies to keep running efficiently these days. The Isuzu will carry 200 gallons of love and all the bells and whistles with ease. I have tried to kill that ranger, but it just won't give up. We loaded a little much in it the other day (big job), she went about 20' and sat down. The tires were touching the flatbed deck boards and we were in the bleach houses parking lot. We pulled the hoses, the blower, ladder, 8gpms gas tank, & surface cleaner off and she made it to the job where we could spread the love and lighten the load some.

Cool Tim, when I look back at all my roof cleaning trucks, it is interesting to see how they have evolved!
Our current Roof Cleaning Truck is a F 450 extended cab flatbed with the 6.0 Diesel. We go all over, and the F 450 just laughs at the run from Tampa down to Naples. We can cruise at 80 mph with 600 gals of Mixed chemicals, with the A/C on.

Joe, you is silly Bro !
Nick, that is an oldie, I had an old Caprice Classic 4 dr, complete with vinyl top  It was a ghetto cruiser, always started in the winter, and was good in the snow. A few sandbags in the trunk, some snow tires from a junk yard, I was good to go.
