Tote_Tanks_Used_Pallet_Liquid_Containers_Oil_Grade_Food_Grade.jpg Hey guys just curious how well these hold up i know there not very thick. Found these in louisville area runs $80 for a 275 or 330gal, so affordable for sure. Need a 2nd tank for new box truck

Lots of guys use them, theyd be perfect for a box truck. Get two and if one cracks just switch to the other

My brother had an empty one blow out of a truck at hwy speeds and it bent the cage a bit but didn't damage the tank. We had a discussion about tying things down shortly after that!

Besides looking cheap..
the only thing I don't like about "Bladder-Tanks"..
is they require that cage to support 'em.
..and they are NOT made for bouncing down the road on a trailer or truck..
You will have to use "earthquake brackets" and BEEFY tie-down straps to make it "kinda-safe" ..
If you got in an accident , (Heaven forbid, ) and that tank "went flying" into a car,
people could die.
DO NOT cut corners on SAFETY ! EVER !!
In the "Safety Meeting" portion of my "Pressure Washer Bullet-Proofing" class, we discuss these things.
Spend SERIOUS EFFORT in keeping your equipment safe, in EVERY way.
325gallons of water weighs almost as much as a Volkswagen.

I have a couple of them in a box truck but were going to change them out soon. I just don't like them truthfully, they are very thin, leak easily and make you look like your on a shoe-string budget. I keep mine hid at the very front of the box but still hate them

I think they look cool, good flat space to put a sign if you want and take up much less space. I'll take a metal cage over plastic holding its own shape against all that weight. I think they're made to haul denser than water liquids so they are stronger than needed for water.

I have one of them in the flatbed because it is more compact and allows me to pack more in the truck. This tank has been going strong for at least 5 years. And I can fit a LOT of air filters around it. Plus, I'm a black and white conservative type of guy, I like things to fit. :groucho:

I have one that I use once in a while as it is convenient and takes up less space.

I was thinking about using 2 of them in a box truck I was looking at since I could not get a large leg tank in the truck with the narrow barn doors it had in the back but the totes would fit through the doorway no problem.

They are good tanks and will hold up well $80 is a good price they typically go from $75-125. I use two on one of my trucks, i use a threaded coupling with a 2in pvc pipe off of it then 2- 90 degree rubber elbows (fernco fittings) that connect to a pipe with a manifold for feeding the pressure washer. This absorbs the bouncing and vibrations of travel so the tanks don't leak or crack the pipes when they shift a little.

... ya just have to SECURE it DOWN.
againts the jarr of an accident.
It needs to STAY on your truck, and NOT squish anybody.

..end of safety meeting.

I am with Jerry. I just dont think they look professional, and have had them leak just sitting in a lot when I used them as a static tank.

Scott, all the contractor needs to do is use a big loan to buy the tank and the and put a wrap on it and viola! Instant professional!

I asked these same questions when I found them. Take it from me, I have 2 trucks and 1 trailer with the regular tanks and 2 trucks with a total of 3 square poly tanks. The poly tanks make me as much money as my other tanks and work great. No cracks or leaks yet. Plus if they do crack its only $80 to replace them.

I say go for it. If its about looks then spend the extra money. If its about making money then save the money and make money!
