I have been doing tons of reading and collecting lots of info. I just saw in a different thread that someone keeps copies of the ARMA and GAF cleaning guidelines in their arsenal, which sounded very smart. I just went and found these 2 pages so I thought I would try to give back to this site and post the PDF's---I hope. here goes my try.

Hey Tom-
Thanks for the email the other day, I have not had time to thank you, so I thought I would do so in a public forum.

Tom is a local guy to me, just a few miles away. He took the time to send me information on a possible lead. Most guys would not even bothered.

Tom, we will need to hook up for lunch sometime! And thanks again! This shows how to use your "compitition" in a good way, and I know it pays itself back.

THANK YOU Dwayne! I feel theres more than enough work here in our area that we wil never be stepping on each others toes. Well heres my goal on for scouring these forums and RCIA forum....I want to expand from the house cleaning and start getting into roof cleaning in the near future. I am doing my research on chems., equipment and procedures and have gathered tons of info. I am thinking a few years down the road as well...think about it all the homes in areas like Spruce Creek and Del Webb and Plantation are ready for roof washes. So in a few years all those homes in The Villages will be ready as well...so I want to get my crap together now. I would love to meet and talk, I will be in touch. I also saw you are a "certified Instructor" at RCIA's forum...lets talk about some training on roofs as well if you're willing.

Hi Tom. That may have been my post that you referring too? Either way, something else to consider; I highlight the section of both documents that states 'do not use high pressure'. One is a simple sentence and the other is in a matrix of sorts. By highlighting, it draws the HO's eyes to it specifically, rather than the chemical solution referenced on each of the same pages. Having the HO focus on the latter could open a can of worms.

Take care.

I'd say the ARMA needs to hire a proofreader.

If possible, always work from a latter and/or walkboards to
avoid direct contact with the roof surface.

I hear you loud and clear Ted. I also felt it great that in a case where someone starts to question the chemical useage---ARMA says it's ok to go up to 50% sh mix to water. But I understand keeping that info in the back pocket until absolutely needed. Thanks for the advice.

That's NOT what it says! It does say up to 50% Bleach, but they are talking about store bleach, NOT 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite!
Big Difference!

50% is waay strong on shingle roofs. Now if we are talking tile roofs, sometimes 50% isn't even strong enough.
