Thanks for all the posts and to the guys that have helped me. This will probably be my last post.
My hood cleaning business is going well, but about 6 months ago, I started on a new main venture that requires all my focus during the day. I cannot continue on in the hood business. I have over two hundred maintenance accounts and am slated to get about 140 more starting in January. This is a combination of hood cleaning and some restaurant equipment cleaning, and we are slated to have about $125,000-$150,000 in sales in 2011. None of this is under contract, but the accounts are solid. I am based out of Atlanta GA, and my accounts are in pockets through-out the Southeast (primarily GA, TN, NC, VA). Right now, I have enough work to keep 1 crew absolutely slammed, possibly 1-1/2 crews. And all my jobs are profitable.
Let me be upfront about what I want and am willing to give in return. I'm hoping to get $10,000-20,000 for the time it has taken to build my relationships. I am not planning on including my van and equipment, but this is negotiable. If you cannot afford an outright payment, I am willing to take a percentage of every job until the figure is reached (probably the best way to go anyhow). I am also willing to train you on the restaurant equipment cleaning process. Since there are no contracts in place, I am also willing to stay available for a few months to help you take over the relationship and get eveyone acclimated to working with you. I expect that you and your insurance policy will assume liability of cleaning work that you do. Everything will be handled above-board and legally.
If there is anyone seriously interested, we can get a non-disclosure agreement in place and I will disclose account info and pricing, costs etc. Please contact me at
