what's the best gun to use for acid. The gun we are currently using is a nice easy pull gun. But I have been going through them like candy. Only on the acid side. For soap or water they work great. I have had some trailers that haven't been washed in a year or so. So I am Using strait acid through the injector.

I have seen acid specific gun on Especs website. You might want to give Paul a call and check for sure.I've always ordered the suttnor gun from Bob and they hold up for about 6 months to a year depending on how much caustic I run through them.

I will have to call him. I order a lot of chems from them.

ever thought about ball valves and open trigger guns?

I went to them a while ago and have no problems except going through ball valves monthly but they are cheap compared to an 80.00 acid gun. There are quite a few online that run open setups for many reasons i like the ability to slow flow to the gun when rinsing around delicate areas like flower beds and cars.

I will have to give that some thought. Seems like there should be a gun that would hold up just as well. The first time I here'd of putting a ball valve on a surface cleaner I thought why didn't I think of that.

every hose at the end of it has a swivel, then ball valve with a stainless coupler at the end because they seem to last a little longer especially if you spend the money for a hansen. Then on all guns, surface cleaners run stainless plugs and your set. You can soap with the ball valve or soap with a wand either way

I gave up on trying to use a gun with acid in '02, couldn't find one that lasted more than a day or two. Use the ball valve, last a couple months.

Carey,

General Pump has a YG5000C gun that features a ceramic ball to accomodate chlorine and acid. Runs about $40.

Can you send me a sample one nichole? LOL I might give that gun a try. I would rather stick with a gun then go to using a ball valve.

Nicole, could I get a sample gun also? Hard to find good guns that hold up to acid. Thanks.
