I've cleaned roofs with SH much older than that. Sometimes it needs to be kicked back up with a little fresh stuff, but it doesn't take much. It probably wasn't as strong as they said or thought it was.

I agree with Don here.
We normally go through a LOT of SH in a few days.
But when we get Tropical Depressions, it can sit for a week or so.
Not to worry, just add a little fresh and it is good to go. :)

no one said they agreed but I have cleaned with much older stuff too and lets remember we are not buying brand new 12.5% , I get mine at 16 %and try to pick it up as soon as they get there tank refilled , they have 2000 + gallon tanks, I drive up they drop in a 2 in line and voom !

nevertheless its not new then either , as long as you get it within a couple of months of manufacture date you are in great shape

I wonder if 10.5% or 12.5% breaks down any faster, I can tell a difference in strength & smell from time to time. My supplier gets hit twice a week by the luv truck this time of year so it stays pretty tight .

is there any kind of test you coould preform to measure %? i think my chem guy stepped on my last purchase... does not seem hot enough?

I am curious also... any kind of "ph test" you could do? I have 55 gallons tucked way back in the shop that is almost a year old! Anything wrong with dumping it on one of our gravel roads?

You can get a test kit to measure the free chlorine, but we just take it and spray usually.
Ours seldom goes bad because we usually stay pretty busy, try to at least!
IF it don't clean, we simply go and freshen it up a bit :)

IMHO, year old stuff should be disposed of, it is most likely salt water by now

Crap looks like im stuck with 55 gals, you think it will last 5 months? if not im gonna have to be a super salesman. 3 roofs should get rid of it
