So the unthinkable happened last night.
My surface cleaner went bye bye.
I thought a good chain, a lock, my 1911 and the bulldog next door would pretty much keep it safe.
WRONG! I've already called my Sifu and put him on notice that I’d be putting the last 2 1/2 years of wing Chun training
he's taught me to good use. Called my investigator buddy at the Sherriff office told him the same thing. Had a report done and put GF on alert to
be ready with the bail money when I call. You think you’re prepared for this stuff....but you never are.

So my question to the board is, since I need a new one anyone want to suggestone? I had a 3 bar 22" so not sure if I want to go back to that or go upto a 30".
Looked on ebay for a used one to replace it. they don't have anything. Anyone havean idea were I could get a reasonably priced used one?

I like whisper wash however finding a cheap one isnt easy

What size (gpm) machine do you have Lee?

4gpm 4000 psi Guy.

and when it rains it pours. just got off the phone with my biggest customer. They have a new PM that "has a guy" that will do all of these houses for $150.00 each.
Low ballers should be horse whiped same as thieves. This duplex for them was on the book for this morning. now put on hold till "further notice". This thing is 3,960 sq ft.
now i gots go fight off this jackass.

Guy is right, Lowballers starting up suck, Its learning how to make yourself stand out by going above and beyond the clients expectations. Once they are hooked nothing the lowballers try to do will take them from you. I can quote one location and make a visit after the lowballer gets done with what he does and have the client booked to fix there mess or at the very least the next service.

I would agree with Guy you will not really want to go over 16-18 in with a 4 gpm machine. The largest I would look at would be 24" if you are planning to upgrade to a 5+ gpm unit soon. If you want a decent SC you will want to look at the Whisper wash surface cleaners in that size. They will have the best one for the price. When you getup to 24 the steel eagles are nice with the mosmatic swivel.

Lee with that size machine you can't go any higher than a 16" surface cleaner. WW classic.

One day you will learn to embrace lowballers..........In a good way. I love them personally.[/

Guy, I think I understand you, but could you please elaborate on this.

Maybe, to have a 'high end' there has to be a 'low end'. I think of shimano and bicycles, with all their parts lines it really seems like the low end is there to make the high end seem special. I mean how much more does it really cost shimano to make the top-line compared to the low end.

Very simple Steven, so called lowballers can't sell anything but price. They can't sell quality, they can't sell service, they can't sell results, when customers finally realize this or come to terms with "Cheap Work Ain't Good And Good Work Ain't Cheap" they will search out a reputable Contractor to hire.

We are not the highest priced Company out there neither are we the lowest, but we provide a superior service to our customers and our results are guaranteed.

So called lowballers will screw the pooch, when they do we're there to pick up and keep that customers business....always. We've picked up 10 more properties for next year because of them. I don't worry about them, I don't bit*h about them.......I love them because they keep my business profitable.

Well here's the one i had. Worked great. loved that thing.
And i'm now doing those houses for 150.00 a pop. the investor just wouldn't budge. it was come down to meet the low baller of loose it all.
These arent $100,000 homes. these places are dumps. The Project manager went to bat for us in a BIG way. but he's in the same boat we're in.
at the end of the day, it's just what he says it is. "We're polishing a turd, not a mansion." and it's all about the budget with these ppl.
Fix em up, flip em or fix em up and rent em out. So basically i just agreed to do 4 houses next week for $600.00 Total. @ leat that catches my truck payments up.

Do what you have to do been there done that but you want to work yourself out of that situation very fast.Either get another job until you can go full time and get the money you need to turn a profit.Or sell your stuff and go another direction. Will your insurance policy step up and help??

underneath that rough and tough exterior I just KNEW Guy was a good man. ya brotha one contractor helping another IS WITHOUT PARALELL.
