Buffer tank return hose

Have 2 P/W. 1 is already plumbed from the unloader to the tank. Question is can I place a Y in the hose going to the tank and and use 1hose back to the tank from both pumps?Will this cause any damage to either P/W if both are running at the same time or if only 1P/W is running? Thanks in advance, just getting back up and running after new trailer build and totaling my 1 ton truck. Been a bad couple of months, just do not want to hurt the money makers.

As long as there's no back pressure, I don't see why 2 machines can't share a bypass line.

I had two 4gpm machines going into the same bypass bulkhead for a while. When i replace one 4 with an 8, I ran them to separate bypass bulkheads. ( less hoses crossing over... look prettier )

If it was me I would run a 1/2 inch line from each un-loader to a 1inch tee and from there run a 1 inch line back to tank. Minimise the back pressure.

With a 1 inch discharge line the water will take the line of least resistance..
