Calcium like buildup on swimming pool edge tiles

WASH-IT H.B.

Hi guys. I have been lucky enough to score a contract to wash the concourse around one of the swimming pools in the city. Spring cleaning before the new summer season. Doing the concrete is the easy bit. I have also been asked if I had any ideas on removing the white deposit left on the tiles at and above the water level. This is not just a build up from last swimming season this is years old. I tried my rotary nozzle on it just for a go. naturally it never even looked at it. Had to do it though they asked and were standing there looking. knew I was wasting my time. Anyhow what I am looking for is a chemical solution to their problem. does anyone know of anything that could be applied with maybe a pump sprayer that would soften this deposit enough so that the pressure washed will take it off. As I am in New Zealand any suggestions of off the shelf products that you guys can buy will be of little use to me. I am thinking along the lines of maybe Oxalic Acid, sodium Percarbonate or something of that type that I could source from my local cleaning supplies manufacturer. Any help is good help. They are not counting on me to remove this deposit but will be happy as hell if I can. thanks guys.
