Changing Pressure

Just recently purchased hot water mi-tm pressure washer. The washer came with a dual lance wand i would like to change this to a single lance and drop the pressure with a nozzle change. The question is will this mess up the unloader? MI-TM said it has a k-7 flow activated unloader on it. The current pressure is 3500psi i would like to change it to 2500 for special jobs I would also like to put a downstream injector on the machine. I see in the catelog it looks like you order it according to the machines gpm. Is that right? my machine is 4.7gpm THANKS WIZ!

Here is the deal with the K-7 unloader.
It is a flow actuated unloader.
this means the amount of flow is important to make the unloader work.
A smaller tip will make less flow and the unloader will not work properly. However a bigger tip makes more flow and the unloader likes that. More flow makes it operate easier.
So the answer to your question is: Do it and no harm will come to your machine as long as you use the same size or larger tip.

Try one full size larger to drop your pressure to 2500.
