Chuck Bergman Pressure Washing and Soft Wash Roof Cleaning here! :-) HOWDY!

I wouldn't call them customers...if they are then I suck as a businessman. I spend about 1 hour on average for the free accounts and about 4 hours on the premium accounts. They are partners in the war against the SM's, AL, superpagees, YP yellowpage...etc

As I explained in my email a few month back, these sites steal our work and direct it to roofers. In almost every city we have a member, we've obliterated them on the serps....in just a few months. In some cases, knocking them totally off of page 1.

It's a labor of love...and the SEO isn't "all over the place" (as you correctly stated in your post), It's fired through a sniper scope. Highly targeted precision SEO.

Here's a snap from one where we flat out spanked the competition (directories and lead services) for their primary source of organic clicks..(long tail keywords). Even a guy in Hagerstown MD got in the game for Oh.

It's quickly becoming an authority site for roof cleaning in the eyes of google.

As for more members...I decided when I built the site that I'd rather create value and let the people spread the word. This thread is just the 4th on three forums that I've actually "personally" addressed or discussed the site. It really doesn't matter to me if I have 30 or 300 members...it's their city and listing, I don't a slice of their pie.

It's a highly relevant do-follow human edited directory with growing PR value...certainly worth a few minutes of typing.
Very Interesting....I had previously come across this site, didnt realize who was behind it. Good luck Barry...seriously!

Yes Cullen, you are right! I just checked. When I first started with Cullen Adams at his site:

I almost immediately went to the top of the generic Google listing for "Pressure Washing and Power Washing Port Charlotte, Fl
I just checked and I'm still there!
For me, I dominate the local 1st page of Google anyway, for those 2 headings and for Roof Cleaning in all the surrounding towns [no big cities where I work. Sarasota is like 35 miles and Ft Myers even farther. I only travel 20 miles.
That's because I have been in business here since 1989 and have been advertising online so long and in so many places, that whatever criteria Google wants, I have in a number of places, plus seniority [if that counts??] But, if you need good, quick online presence on page 1 Google, I certainly suggest you go with Pressurewashing.net Cullen is great to work with!
I just wish my advertising were in Englewood / Rotonda instead of Port Charlotte. I prefer the clientele to Port Charlotte, as well as the fact that I am right here at Englewood / Rotonda West,Fl

I can definitely help you to achieve top rankings you for those 2 cities Chuck, plus all of those neighboring cities you service, its not a problem at all. Problem is your site is on the old CK Editor platform. I will move your site over to the new Wordpress platform as soon as I can, and will further develop your site to get more keyword rankings...Ill contact you in the next few weeks. Thank you very much for allowing me the opportunity to help you Chuck, its been a pleasure for me too.

OK Cullen. After being in business here since 1989, almost all my work is repeat or word of mouth. I also have a strong Google 1st page presence for the 2 areas I want to work in most [plus all surrounding areas] I live right among Englewoof [a town] and Rotonda West [a large, large development] now that I stay booked ahead a few weeks, I am concentrating on staying close to home [I'm almost 65. So, driving to Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Venice, Nokomis, Osprey, Sarasota etc holds little interest for me. Still, if you Google search those places for Roof Cleaning or Pressure Washing, I will still be on the 1st page of Google. I was impressed with how quickly your site got me ranked up on Google. You must know your stuff!

Nice chuck ! So you started the soft washing craze in 1991 ?
Some people (Not Chuck Bergman) want you to believe that they started or invented softwashing, or non pressure roof cleaning.
Chuck and I are both veteran Florida Roof Cleaners, and we can tell you that both services were being done by us here in Florida way back when, well before a certain someone was.
Something to consider, before you drink too much Kool Aid.

Ya Chris, I doubt you could ever find the 1st guy who did it without a pressure washer. That goes for the Kool Aid Kid Too!
It was likely hit and miss by a bunch of people and when anyone got it down to somewhat of a science, they kept it to themselves.
I was looking for ways to do it, just because I saw how close my pressure washer's chemical injector came to cleaning some shingled roofs that weren't too bad to start with. I tried all kinds of chem injector setups and then pumps, but all the wrong kind. I flat out learned it from some guys cleaning condo roofs with 1gpm Shurflo pumps here in Englewood in around 1991. But back then, with no internet and just a yellow pages ad, I didn't have all that much work on roofs to perfect it with.
Still, in 2009, when I came upon RCIA, I had a lot to learn from you and others. You were way ahead of me in know how.
Now, I'm the best!!!!! HEE HEE :) LOL

I know for sure, I was the very first teacher of roof cleaning, on the Internet Chuck. Long before there was a PWI or a Grime Scene, there was the Delco Board, run by Delco Cleaning Systems, of Ft Worth Texas. They are now called powerwash.com
I am the teacher of roof cleaning from there.
I guess one could say "I paid my dues" ?

I am very close with Al Lockyer senior Chuck. Did you know the way Mallard Systems got started ?
Al Lockyer senior had a neighbor, who had his roof chemically cleaned by a pressure washing guy, who used a pump up sprayer filled with pool bleach. Al Lockyer Sr asked and was told, what chemical was in the pump up sprayer.
Al Lockyer's son was in College in Texas at the time, and told his father he wanted to quit College, and start a business.
Al Lockyer Sr thought it might be a great business for his son and him to get into.

It turned out that Al Lockyer Sr was right, and Mallard Systems was born. But most people are unaware that were it not for that pressure washing guy, cleaning a shingle roof with a pump up sprayer filled with Liquid Pool Chlorine, Mallard Systems would have never existed!

I was cleaning roofs chemically in Seattle Chuck, as early as 1979! We had no roof cleaning pumps. I worked for Emerald City Roofing back then, and we used stucco paint rollers on long poles that we dipped into a chlorine and water mixture, and rolled it on the roof!

It took awhile, but the roofs cleaned right up.

That's interesting!
Seeing a guy do a doctors office roof in Englewood back in 1990 or before with a pump up garden sprayer was another thing that had me trying to {I thought} invent a way to pump an SH mix onto a roof. When I look back, it seems like I must have been stupid not to figure it out myself???? I really thought, before that day I saw him, that the whole idea was all mine! LOL
Unfortunately, I tried all the wrong stuff and because I worked alone back from 1989 until 1994 I had little time to experiment. Until I had a solid income from my roof cleaning / pressure washing / painting, I worked 2 other jobs at the same time until 1992, just to get by.
I moved here to Englewood in Sept 1988 and left a 10 year painting business behind, with my oldest son in Ithaca,NY
I advertised painting in the newspaper, but work was slow in coming. I had done pressure washing a little all the way back to 1978, but here in Florida, with all the chalked paint, I had to pressure wash every house first. So, I learned pressure washing. On shingle roofs with light algae staining, I noticed my downstream injector came close to cleaning the roof, before pressure washing it-especially if I applied 2-3 coats, but never quite did the job to perfection, it still needed pressure washing.
I just got flat lucky in 1991 when I ran into those guys { I have no idea who they were to this day? } doing those shingled condo roofs. I drove right up in my business truck and watched a while.
They got down to eat lunch and were nice enough to show me the whole setup in their van and tell me where to get everything!
That got me started at it and I've never pressure cleaned a tile or shingled roof since. { Only those old white built up roofs }
RCIA and you straight out, refined my equipment and techniques greatly and I thank you for that and for treating me as a friend!
Now I gotta go do my freakin' taxes!!!!

LOL, I got my Taxes all done, and out of the way!
We are just slammed with work Chuck, and down a truck. It blew a head gasket, and time for a new (used) motor.
