Commercial Fuel Cards

We use a chase card. Lower limits for employees makes it a little more secure.

I am getting ready to go to Firebird, or the CFN network. Advantage is the bill will tell you how much each truck took. The disadvantage is the stations are not perfectly convenient. They do take 5 cents per gallon off the street price. I am not certain how the cost savings will be that beneficial to us, because of the extra travel involved in fueling. Our Chase card still is offering rebates.

Pacific Pride has a lot of locations. One just off the freeway on the way home. I haven't made the change yet but was thinking about it. I have only seen a few firebird fueling stations.

Have been thinking fuel cards and just haven 't done anything about it, pacific pride is the big one around here

That looks like a winner for me, Nicole. I can see where that could save my guys a lot of time trying to find a fuel location.

We use Fleet Card by speedway super america. Accepted at all speedways, marathons, pilots, and flying j's

it's a 5k limit account revolves interest free if you pay it monthly.
plus you get money back if you use it at speedway locations.

Also can make in store purchases so if my guys leave with out oil or something like that they can pick it up while they are out.

The only credit card we use is from Shell fleet. One card for each vehicle one for equipment. Equipment and truck cards are good for fuel and oil only. Set up to track mileage and with the equipment on its own card we could get the road use tax rebate easier if we wanted to fill out the forms and wait untill Illinois has the money to reimburse us. My card is good for anything at the store.

I use fleet one. It tracks the milage of every vehicle. gas usage of equipment on every truck. Each truck gets two cards: one for the truck and one for the equipment. Gives you better write offs on your taxes by seperating the two uses. I can use them locally at any Thortons gas station and any gas station 25 miles outside of Louisville, KY. I set mine up for fuel/oil only. that way Im not paying for my guys coffee and doughnuts every morning!
