Just want to make everybody aware of a company that's been calling us lately about these glow in the dark refrigerator magnets. Total hard sell program, where you get some telemarketer who gives you the basics and then transfers you to her manager, ie... the "closer", if you show interest. They offer to put your name in bold letters and ship them for free, you pay only for the magnets themselves at half price of $.79 each. They'll even ship them COD for you. Only problem with this is I told the guy that our company has a purchasing system for everything and if he wanted to deal with us he had to go through our main guy for purchasing, plus we would need his duns # and information on his company faxed to us for a purchase order. He gave me a hard time about wondering why if I was the President of the company why I couldn't make the decision instead of somebody below me and I told him to either fax us the info or leave us alone and he flat out hung up on me.

Didn't even say goodbye... :) Beware any company that won't give you their info or offers to ship things to you with no questions and NEVER tell anybody that it's ok to send you things unless you have info on them FIRST. We learned that a long time ago with a company that called and asked us info on our laser printers and copier and then shipped us a bunch of toner cartridges without our permission and then a bill showed up for $900. We sent everything back and the company wouldn't accept the shipment back. We ended up getting our attorney involved. This is why we have a purchase order system now. Even if you are a one person operation, act like you are bigger than you are with telemarketers and tell them you have to issue purchase orders for anything over $50, it'll save you headaches in the future plus it gives you a day to think about your purchase before you make it. I used to use this system when it was just me in the office and it has worked great ever since then even with other people working for us.
