what is your customer profile for residential work? Are they the small homes under 1500 sq ft or larger ones over 3000 sq ft? My pricing per sq ft drops down the larger a home is. I am second guessing this idea. My reason for offering price breaks is I am afraid of turning off larger homes due to pricing.

Thoughts and comments please

Your price per square foot should be less for larger. If you need more money, you should perhaps raise your prices accross the board.

Be sure to have a minimum price.......and stick to it. Mine is currently $100 on power washing jobs, and $50 on gutter cleaning/repair jobs.

What i suggest you do is take this winter to polish your sales techniques. Study these boards, and read articles. Make yourself sound more professional, have answers to their questions.......sometimes even before they are asked........establish yourself as the "expert"..............and pricing won't matter.

If you build your confidence, and come off as more knowledgeble and courteous then your competition, there will be no stopping you in 2005! Good luck.
