Debris Removal

How many of you guys offer add-ons such as debris removal, gutter clean-outs etc.?

This is a referral from Chris for a Church here in Orlando. They have called us a couple of times now for the removal of leaves, limbs, branches and pine straw. It's a very large property with several buildings roofed with flat red tile and one with brown shingles. They've shown some interest in a non pressure chemical roof cleaning in the near future also. My fingers are crossed....;)

This is a TRUE Story.
Once, here in Tampa, there was a very aggressive roof cleaning company trying to get started.
They had a particulary "aggressive" salesman.'
Word had it he would actually fill "water balloons" with roof cleaning chemical, and throw them on roofs in the night.

A week later, he would stop by because he "just happened to notice" the clean spot in the roof

I think he only does it when the debt collectors are calling.......Or days that end in 'Y'. ;)

We do a lot of complexes, blow off the roofs and clean out the gutters. I've said it before, its some of the best money I make. Hell we can go in with 2-4 guys and do 20-30+ buildings in a day gutter cleaning.

We did one 2 weeks ago 4 guys done and back to the shop by 1:30, 30 buildings easy $$$

Hey Chris, do you buy the ballons in bulk?

We do a bunch of res/com roof blowing and gutter clean-outs. We use 2 hi-flow backpacks and work together to maximize efficiency.

That's a great point, Tim. Unfortunately we had to learn it the hard way back in the day. If it's light stuff, we work away from each other. The thick stuff gets both of us on it with one below and slightly behind the upper guy. We have backpack blowers also, but I prefer the smaller, hand-held blowers when possible. Falling off a roof with something strapped to my back might leave a bigger mark....lol!

Exactly, we also have pool poles with brushes on them for breaking the matted down remains loose on unwalkable pitches if necessary. We use our high flow rinse pump from time to time for dormer valleys on 9/12's and steeper, whatever it takes.

We carry a short pole and hook for the matted down stuff to loosen it as we are blowing it. The hook is from Lowes one of the small painters sausage roller handles screw it on the pole, works well for that stuck stuff

Metal roof that was leaking and had rats living in the vents. They did not want a wash, just debris removal.

I run a full service company, Ron. The roof leak was fixed by removing the debris, so add roof repair to the service list too.

After October when the Pressure Washing slows down for the winter it's gutter cleaning season. If my Pressure Washing crews want to work year round they can.
