Do you Barter on Jobs??

I had one on my past customers call today and wanted to know if I wanted to clean his home and driveway for a lawn mower and trailer, I said yes before I even went to look at the mower.
Last year we swapped out a black chain link fence, he told me if I removed it, I could have it.
When I saw the John deere mower and utility trailer for it....I asked him if I could start NOW!! He said go ahead.
After he seen how it turned out he ended up giving me a 14volt drill, and 3almost new watches and a pocket utility knife...!!!
I wish all my customers was this nice!!!!!!!

It was funny, I have a handyman in the neighborhood. A guy that does a littel of everything. He called me about pressure washing his house and drive. I mentioned that my kitchen needed to be painted. So we made a deal.

I went and did his house and driveway- Took about 45 minutes. He came out and saw my surface cleaner and me using the x-jet to reach the peaks.. He said "you are fxxcking cheating!!" We laughed and the next day he spent about 7 hours painting my kitchen!!!!!!

Trades are a good deal sometimes, but you have to really think about if you need what they are offering. Most of the time I would rather them pay for the service and then I will buy their service or product if I really want it.
 
I trade for goods and services. money it tight for most all Americans. I will make the deal if it benifits myself or the company!

I like your style, Russ! Unless what someone is trying to barter with men will keep a roof over my kids' heads or food on their table, show me the money!:)
 
I trade out all the time....just go off the phone with a local HVAC company to have a service call for one of my rentals, I scheduled it, she took my name and information and then the owner called me back and asked if we could clean his house(1900sq.ft.) Hell yes! I will come out way ahead.

I love bartering.
 
We use to barter hotel rooms and meals on the road all the time.
