dosatron.jpg O.k, so I have this Dosatron and I don't know a dang thing about it. On my trailer there are 3 shur-flow pumps mounted along with three low pressure hoses. any body know anything about the dosatrons? anyone ever seen anything like this?

IMAG0708.jpgThis thing is freakin confusing!!!!!! Thanks Derrel, I looked it up. I am just totally confused as to which lines go to what tank and so on. The trailer was made by alkota and they only made about twelve of them ( so says Jimmy at alkota ) the problem is that each was made a little different and the Dosatron was added after on this one ( so says Jimmy ). I tried for three weeks to get a manual for it but they are not available.

Is this a new acquisition for you? If so, I would trace every line (from source to destination) noting every point (part) it goes through (one stream at a time) until I fully understood what was done from the beginning. Take the weekend or take a whole week. Knowing your equipment is important for troubleshooting down the road. Document everything and look up the parts you don't know about already.

I hear ya, you are correct. for me it will take a month though. I really need to take a serious look at it. I am nit using the Dosatron right now. I think there are multiple routes to send the chemicals though. I don't think it is a set pattern.

it was made by Alkota for a company called Sealmaxx. they are now out of business but some people still use the name I think. It is set up to spray sealer for wood and concrete. along with brighteners. I am setting it up for my own uses. but would love to see it in original order to see how they used it.

If Jimmy from Alkota says they made 12 of them then perhaps he can tell you how it's designed.
the guy that originally drew them has left alkota. I spent three weeks emailing back and forth with them and they have nothing about the plumbing. they do have all about the trailer, the tank sizes, the pressure washer, tires etc. but the there is nothing about the plumbing.

I see.
Looking at the picture - I dont think its complicated enough. I think it needs a few more "T's" and valves lol

Ha Ha, I hear ya. there are three more valves on that side you cant see and 2 more on the other side. "piece of cake Dave". I wonder how that Dosatron would hold up to straight 12.5 sh? from the website they claim its built tough to withstand any chemical. I could fill one tank with sh and meter it out for house and roof washes. need it a Little stronger? turn the dial on the Dosatron.
