Theres an brown/orange run-off on the walls from the window AC units. Any advice on removing?

Normal house wash brew does not work?

Bleach should do the trick. It has helped remove Georgia Red Clay.

Try a normal housewash mix first(citracleen/chlorine)if that doesn't work it most likely is rust.To remove rust get some oxalic acid (2 lbs to 5 gallons water) spray on and let dry.

Smittie,
I admire your drive at your age and I'm not trying to be harsh but I promise bleach doesn't clean everything. If you are going to continue cleaning you need to broaden the aresenal of chemicals you use(professional products, professional results). There are numerous chemical supply companies in Atl. that should be able to give you a hand.Sunbright supply comes to mind ,we use RPC chemcials from Steve Rowlett(1-800-357-6295) located in TN and have been very happy with the results we get.

Bleach does not do the trick - tried it.

Will the Oxalic acid hurt the paint?

I did a dryvit house the other day with tons of redclay and green crap all over it. It took most of it out. I've talk to other pressure washers around me and they swear by bleach. I talked to one that said he had a house that wouldn't come clean. He tried every chemical he had and the only thing that worked was bleach.

I have to say I'm loyal to bleach. And the 1 time I tried to "broaden my horizon" I got screwed. The owner of this PW store told me this certain chemical would clean brick. So I paid $50 (Which is all I had in the bank). I tried it and it didn't work. I diluted it at first which he said you could do. Then I tried putting the pickup striaght into the chemical. Still no results. Then I dumped it on the side of a house straight up and it didn't do a thing. So I've become weary of using anything else. I don't have the money to be tryin stuff out just to learn that someone was just trying to sell me something.

I use bleach on everything. Until bleach doesn't work it is what I'll use. I was just suggesting because I've seen people who will use anything but bleach then end up going back to it later on.

Also I have a coldwater system. I think a lot of those chemicals require Hotwater to work well. I wasn't sure of what he was using. But I felt it was worth mentioning.

I too think a lot of bleach. I use bleach and chlorine to clean as well (except for wood).

Bleach or chlorine did not work.

Smittie,
Don't misunderstand what I'm saying. We do use chlorine(a lot of chlorine)between 40 and 60 gallons a months. However, we also use surfactants with the chlorine to help enhance it's preformance. The only time we use hotwater is on commercial accounts and really nasty concrete. All housewashes and deck cleanings/restorations are done with cold water.
Chlorine/bleach won't remove rust or efflorencense.Do you tell a customer that has rust on their driveway it won't come clean? The sames goes for a homeowner who's house has efflorecense on their brick.
For those occassions when bleach can't get the job done you need to have the knowledge of the chems that will.I think if you research the 2 suppliers I mentioned you'll find there are a lot of pressure washing companies that use there products with great success.
We understand broke(been there) and I truely am not trying to discourage you in any way.

The stain is to deep and won't come off- stains from AC , chimmey's and chaulking are trouble. Graffitti is a nightmare!

Bleach

I was at my house trying to remove some oil spots in the garage that a previous car had put there. I put straight bleach and washed it, it did not come off. I tried running it though the chemical injector, waited around 5 min and nothing. What can I do to remove this oil. Should I put bleach scrub let sit and then wash off or just try a degreaser. If a degrease what is recomended? please excuse my ignorance but I am new at this business.

I have a 4,000 PSI Cold water PW w/ Turbo nozzle :)

Thanks

David

Caustic Soda

Or anything with sodium Hydroxide and alot of heat will pull the grease out of the ground//If it is real bad apply straight caustic beads to it and wet it down with hot water and let it sit for a few and then wash with hot water
