Dumpster Cleaning?

Man I wonder what the inside of the Kitchen looks like?

Not a Place that makes me very Hungry LOL

Scrapper is the thing to use on it, get as much as you can off with it,then add your chems and wash. And DON't EAT THERE :D

Nobody cares about California and their INTERPRETATIONS of the CWA Jim. hahahahahahahahaha

Every state is different and will do what they want. hahahahaha

Most states do not enforce it but are gearing up to do so.

Anyway.............back to the subject at hand................

How did the job go Chris? Hope the scrapers put a dent into it so you could get it cleaned up good, I know you will do a good job.

Post some pictures when you are done.

On something like this on your photos above,

We in California, have to reclaim all of the water, then filter and send it , by special discharge permit, to the sanitation district for procession ( Sewer Access ). So check with the Sanitation District for the proper discharge procedures in your state. With that said.....

I agree with Chris. High heat is your friend here. Try to increase you heat output by recirculating you water from your tank via you boiler. This will increase the water temp. Do this to 120 -130 degrees. ( Pressure pumps are usually able to handle 140 degrees, HOWEVER, check with the manufacture of the pump you are using for the correct temps)

Once you are at the 120 to 130 degrees mark, take your hose and reattach it to the wand. Turn on you boiler to full. Some boilers temperature settings say 300 degrees (We know that will never happen with a standard pressure washer). However.... being that you have 130 degrees now of inlet water in your tank, you might be able to get 220 to 250 degrees for a little while. ( As much as your water tank can hold) DO NOT ADD COLD WATER TO THE MIX !!! This will cool down you water thus your temp at the wand will decrease as well.

That hotter you can get your 5 to 6 GPM pressurized flow, the better the results.

Tried that, I have a 4gpm unit hooked up to a coil we use for an 8gpm machine. The thermostat goes up to 302 and the burner never shuts off when the flow is open. If its backed down to 265 then it will shut the burner off and on meaning were getting in that range. At 250ish this stuff isin't moving however the scraper is going to good use today. I had one at the house however this dumpster pad is about 45minutes away and this is a property being maintained monthly now. This is an extra for the PM and she is more than pleased with the current result however i know it will come cleaner with the right tools. I did not have any extra caustic on the truck after i used what was in the container. I went ahead and grabbed a bag out of storage and will mix up some special sauce for this pad only. I will post results of this when completed. Here are a few of the center itself before and some during. Gotta love the initial cleanings on properties already being maintained by the uneducated

You would never want to eat here. I am sure you notice the amounts of stray cats around your centers and this one especially has none since they arrived
:D

Can you say Kung Pow Kitty

That is too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could not stop laughing at that one. hahahahahahaha

I wonder if there is a temp that will remove that crust when it has hardened? I'm not surprised that you were around 260 and not getting it, it seems impenetrable! Steam?

I still say no scraping, not the hardened part anyway - let the soap do the work just keep freshening the soup.

Today after a really hot mix and a long dwell it came one step better. I am doing this while i have a free hour or 2 and am on that side of town. The scraper did a little however not as much as you would think. I let a very very, very, very very hot mix of caustic sit on it for a while and then scraped it and things started to loosen up. Potash is next on the list for this one and will be kept around for little things like this in the near future

My favorite parody song which any listeners of KOMP in Vegas will likely recognize:
"We ate pussy at the Chinese restaurant. We ate pussy with been sprouts and what not..."

You could always check to see if they have a hot water bib. Most restaurants have them and you could connect directly with that to help you hit the high temps without waiting for the water to circulate.

As a full time KEC company let me give you the simple advice. The only way you will remove that is to scrape it off. Forget the pressure washer and chems and scrubber ect for the first two hours and go get a commercial tile remover. ( Big steel 3 feet long with a carbon steel blade) scrape it down to a thin film then treat with straight caustic let it sit and then pressure wash HOT and go from there and repeat as nessicarry.

Anyone got any good ideas that are good for Chinese grease. Caustic really hot did very little (even taken to the extreme with the application process) and let dwell for about 10 minutes per application with a total of 4 applications.

Here are a few photos of it. I did not have a turbo "whisper bisquit" with me at the time so i will revisit this another day. The grease is about 1/8 to 1/4 thick around the basin and the only way i could get it to come off was to chisle it off using a 15* pattern and try to cut under it.

did i miss the after photos?

I completely forgot about this thread. I posted an after on it and still is not coming clean. I reminded them that the grease goes into the black box not around it on the ground however i feel they still did not get it after the visualization i gave them using their buckets and dumping the grease into both areas while shaking my head at them.

Well the upload keeps failing, i will try again after some sleep

Chris if you would just ask ...... Go talk to Gary at Green Earth and get some potassium Hydroxide.. Pour it on full strength and let it sit in the sun for a couple of hours...Oh yeah also go and get you a degree or 10 degree gum buster nozzle... It really helps

I'll bet it looks the same way today Chris

Im sure I just cleaned a kitchen that would rival that duct pic.... I know I know... pics or it dont count right.. well pics in the morning as i just got back from a job. Funny thing is we always hear "not that bad huh" I stick my index finger behind the filters and sink 3/4 to my knuckle deep into black tar grease! Disgusting as it seems we just pulled out a 5 gallon bucket of grease from this markets kitchen set up. Looked brand new though!

semi warm =) mix with other custom label chem for its potassium as we dont have any yet... just got introduced to the big Ca sick and wow.. its amazing so far but clean up if done right is easy! So yah...night and pics later.

Since this was a concrete dumpster thread.. here is a pic of the concrete that leads eventually to a dumpster... haha it was pretty bad before we got there...SAM_0802.JPGSAM_0804.JPGSAM_0805.JPGSAM_0812.JPGSAM_0820.JPGSAM_0814.JPG
