Anyone have any information or experiences they care to share on this product and it's uses. I've read some reviews but was wondering how it worked on gutter streaks in particular and at what mix ratio, and application method. Of course I'd like to hear how it works on any surface or grime.

Thank You,
Jeff

Never used it on gutters. Recently used it on a parking garage clean and tested it against a sodium hydroxide/butyl mix... EBC was significantly better at emulsifying oil spots after spraying on with pump up. Sprayed 50/50 EBC/Water mix and dwell for 5 mins, went back to spray again and you could see spray dislodging oil.

Tested with 1 gallon of EBC mix (50/50 with water again) and 1cup of sodium hydroxide flakes... This yielded the best results on oil spots.

Thanks for the review Steven!!!

The parking stall we did was at 50/50 ratio, scrubbed with a push broom and let it sit for 5 minutes before washing. Honestly the oil was pretty much lift when we were scrubbing. I think we could of went a lot lighter on the solution. Pretty powerful stuff

Kris, an awesome picture of an awesome job!

Thanks. The first time I used it I used 1ebc to 3or4 water and pump sprayed. It worked well but was slow. The next job we tried downstreaming. Im not sure what ratio we get when we ds but its most def less than 1:4. This gave really good results though. Ive stopped by one of our restaurants and they have another big oil leak on their dumpster pad. Its very black. Im going to ds and scrub then let sit then surface clean and may pump spray at 1:4 if there are stubborn spots.

I like the idea of putting in some sh. Mainly because steven said it worked.

"SH" is not referred to here as Sodium Hydroxide! SH is commonly referred to here as Sodium Hypochlorite... ( Chlorine Bleach ) Sodium Hydroxide is what Steven was talking about adding.

I would be carful of dumping a ton of soduim hydroxide in the mix of ebc I am sure it has a good surfactant in it.Adding a bunch of this in will knock that surfactant out of the product an the other detergents cant synergy together as formulated. That is a great before an after picture btw.

@Ted- No, I haven't run the commercial lately. TV advertising is expensive to do it properly. Advertising is as much about branding as anything else, so with a tv ad you have to run it alot before people ever start to recognize it and pay attention. It's only on for a 30 seconds or so,..where as print is a reference type of advertising and is always there.

Thanks everyone else for the input, I may get some and try it, (Shipping could be the deal breaker though)
I don't do greasy commercial concrete work,..seems like this is where EBC really shines. I'm sure it's good for other cleaning also. as I said, I was looking at an option for gutter streaks, Purple Power I use now works great, local and cheap,..but I always like to know what's available.

@Carlos- Thanks for the information and video.

I tried some last night on a special project. The customer is very concerned about oil staining. Honestly, I sprayed it on, about 10:1, walked away, and spots that I had treated 3 or 4 hours before came out perfect. I think that this is one of the best soap products that I have ever used.

Carlos, given who this came from (a pro's pro), for contractors this is perhaps the best EBC testimonial ever.

Following is one of the best EBC customer testimonials. We received it after using EBC to remove some really bad oil stains. It was totally unsolicited.

"OMG, you guys did a FANTASTIC JOB!!! I'm so happy with your work!"

He has since sent/refered to us two other jobs. And neither were EBC related. But EBC got the ball rolling!
