Im considering doing an EDDM campaign starting in the spring to grow my PW business. Ive done all the research regarding the dynamics, where to target, etc. I go back and forth with if it really is worth it.

What Im looking to hear from are guys who have done this with success. What defines success?. I realize every geographical area is different but id really like to hear from guys who have done this successfully.

Thanks

I think you need to start now Mike, second with regard to success please only make it part of a campaign in your marketing not the meat and potatoes.

If you use eddm as a assist to other form of marketing then I think success will happen.

It really is about consistency and a good call to action. I budget around $15,000 a yr towards eddm. You have to send out more than 4500 cards to each zip code every time you do it. I like to hit the same zip just about every three weeks for 3-4 months. Like ron said this is just one part of our campaign.

I am also curious about the EDDM marketing. I mailed out 500 to a wealthy older neighborhood, hoping to see some results in the next week or so. I will be happy with a 1% job response. I will keep you posted on how it does.

There are lots of ways to market, just as there are lots of business models. What everyone needs to remember is marketing is like growing a tree. The best time. To plant a tree was twenty years ago. The second best time is right now.

Scott's spot on. Now, repeat after me ...then repeat again.
