Has anyone tried elemonator in your roof cleaning mixture to cover up the smell of SH? i hear great things about downstreaming with house wash blend but wanna get some insight from you roof cleaners that have tried it in there roof mix

They are not related and neither are they suggested for the same purpose.

Tim, i see on the pressure tek site it says "multi purpose" for elemonator so I was just wondering if it is much like lemon-aide product and could be used as masking agent for a strong roof mix. I mean if it can cover a house wash mix why not a roof mixture. I guess I should just ask this question to bob lol

Pat, Does cling on have a "smell good" masking agent to cover scent of SH?

Im not looking for a clinging agent, Just looking for the best product to mask scent of SH.

Recommended dosing of Roof Snot and Lemon-Aid:

Per 50 gallons of roof mix:
24 - 32 oz Roof Snot
4 - 8 oz Lemon-Aid

Per 5 gallons house wash for downstreaming:
4 - 5 oz Roof Snot
1 - 1 1/2 oz Lemon-Aid.

I tried it on a couple roof's last week, and for roofs, IMO it doesn't really compare to Roof Snot. Ended up adding Roof Snot to the mix. Elemenator does cover the bleach scent very well, but like Russ's Lemon Ade you need to be very careful with how much you add as the lemon smell can get pretty strong. Personally I don't like the smell of either the Lemonade or the Elemenator. But then again, I don't like the smell of lemons either, so that's kind of a personal preference thing.

My understanding is Elemonator is not designed for roof cleaning, but is for house washing. I have been quite pleased with Roof Snot for house washing as well as roofs so I'll be STICKIN, lol, with Roof Snot for both for house washes and roof cleaning.

l like having one just soap on board for everything, and my guy's love the Roof Snot too, especially how well they make the windows look. Even if the mix dries it just rinses right off with plain water w no streaks or spots.

A scent that smells like Oranges would be nice, most everyone out there loves how oranges smell. It probably will cost a lot more.

Here is an odd question Russ, if you could get an orange scent, do you think it would be stable in a truck wash soap? Aluminum brightener? And not weaken the mix or leave a residue on new, shiny aluminum trailers/tanks/wheels?

I would not mind adding this orange scent to some trucks I wash if it was available and did not damage surfaces or aluminum in any way.

People would do double takes and think a lot if they smelled garbage trucks and other large trucks that smelled like oranges going down the street, it would be funny to hear how they like the smell of the garbage trucks in the morning. hahahahahahaha

Chris, I don't know. I do know that Lemon-Aid has an issue with some makeshift surfactants that are suggested. One customer was using Lemon-Aid with Roof Snot and SH with no problem at all. He ran out of RS and used Gain in his mix, and a separation occurred. Not sure if the dish soap drove the Lemon-Aid out of solution, or if the Lemon-Aid kicked one of the dish soap ingredients out.

I have tried Lemon-Aid and it works well. I used about 6 oz.'s to my 65 Gallon tanks and it certainly takes the edge off the smell. Plus, Russ is great to work with and shipping was very fast! I have also used Green Apple from Flora Mask and it also does a pretty good job but it's pretty expensive. I like trying differnt mixes and wondering how much Elemonator would you have to add to a pre-mixed, 65 Gal. tank of roof mix? (not down streaming but a straight shot from the tank to the roof).
