John, Its great that you can save folks a couple bucks and lowball Paul but you cant beat his customer service and the reputation he has built. I have not seen you post in a while and now on the same day you post the same product?????? HMMMMMMM! Paul has my trust and my LOYALTY as do all of the vendors I do business with!
 
Would it be an abuse of mod power to make his links point to Paul's post?

John, this is a great place to Promote your business, and we love to see you do it. Your post came across as a chop at the legs of Paul. I am sorry if I offended you but it seamed like you took a shot at a friend and over all great guy. If that was not your intent I apologize. There are many great vendors on these boards and I appreciate their support. I will say that your post was Technical and very informative. Good Job on that!
 
After Paul left, I will admit that I did have an Envirospec order that was messed up due to bad customer service. However, I was issued a credit and it all came out okay. Two weeks ago, I place a large order with Espec (new pump, unloader, nozzles and other supplies). Belinda followed up before finalizing order to make sure I had the right version K-7 to match my GPM, which I thought was pretty cool. Best of all, I got everything the next day at a great price! It seems like customer service is on the upswing at Espec! Besides, a little competition between distributors will end up benefiting all of us contractors. Those are great prices for those two trigger guns!
 
I dont see it quite that way, I like to save money just like anyone else but not at the expense of someone putting themselves out of business. I want them to make money off of me, I challenge anyone to find a distributor that I have beat down on pricing, they offer a price and if I need it I will buy it.

I will be the first to say I do not do business with any one single distributor, I dont buy from one because they are cheaper either, not that I keep anyone in business with what I buy I just try to spread it around a bit. I have noy yet had the pleasure of doing business with Paul or John, I do like what Paul does on these boards and I wish him all the best as I do John.

I have had pleasurable experiences with Russ, Pete and Bob and have purchased big ticket items from all three. God willing I will be able to continue to grow my business and buy more.

To Mr Allison, I think you may have been taken the wrong way but I dont know if I am right or not but it sure did look like at stab at Paul from where I stand.
 
Envirospec has had its issue just like every distributor has. I had issues when Paul was there, nothing major, more of a PITA than anything. Espec has great prices, I get REALLY sick of all the charity for animals BS that shoes up on my emails, but they have good service, good prices and are close which makes the timing of my orders not as critical. I give them an A-. Bob and Lori both are great to deal with as well.

I placed an order today with Espec for several hundred bucks, was gonna give it to Paul but I needed it ASAP. Next one is Pauls, great guy, good service, knows his stuff.

I just wish someone would come up with a non-caustic degreaser that wasn't stupid expensive (Talking to you Mr. Allison i.e. Powerstroke - look at my declining order history on that item for the last 5-6 years)

I have no problem with anyone posting the same items on here, I want everyone to make money but I also want the best deal.

I thought Paul has made it clear that him and John had a good parting of ways so why are we jumping on John Allison then?? I like plenty of others buy from many different distributers and I do it for the benefit of my company first. Some Distributors I would by a high ticket Item because they have excellent Customer service and other Distributors I buy small ticketed items because they have so great deals.

I enjoyed buy from John and Paul over the years and I don't see the slight in what John posted about unless somehow there's another part of this story some of us don't know about. I'm good with Pauls answer about why he parted ways so need for me to rain on there parades.
 
John Paul had posted this same product earlier in the day and I was bothered by the fact that John had not posted in a while and posted the same thing in what looked like a shoot at Paul. I agree with everyone I buy from many suppliers for me it's not only the lowest price it's about value for me. Service and price and need is how I base my buying decisions.

John,
I moved a lot of posts out of your gun sale thread. Since you are willing to post your specials, I would like to invite you to contribute your time in helping contractors more with the technical aspects of our industry. I think that this would serve to develop your reputation more then any amount of sales that you post on the internet.
