My house wash states "from the roof line to the foundation . Do you all do the concrete foundations as part of the wash?

Most foundations, block walls or trowed finish that we run into aren't that big,..SO,..depends what's on it,..like splashed up mud from rain,..yes,..everytime. If they're really oxidized,..I slide that into the bid,..if they're really big and exposed and oxidized,..I explain why the bid is where it's at,..and they just say "go ahead".

My proposals states that removal of gutter stripes IS NOT part of the house wash. If they would like those removed it requires hand scrubbing and we'll be happy to provide a quote for that at the time of service. Same goes for rust stains, hard water stains and other specialty stain removal.

You do wash the gutters though correct? Just if they have stripes left you will charge extra?
I understand the other stains.

We wash gutters always... with our regular HW mix. It may lighten the stripes but never gets rid of it. But like Doug stated if the customer wants striping removed ( Gutter Scrub ) we'll do a separate quote for that work. Gutter Scrub is not a part of our regular house washing service.

What Rance said.

If I have to spend more money and not make anymore money, then that's not good business for my end. Customers should be aware of what we're coming out to do and then charged accordingly!

We clean then as part of the house wash to remove mold mildew algae and other organic stains. Any stain other than that is, in my opinion, a specialty stain removal and we will be happy to quote it separately. Same for rust, calcium, hard water stains.

It's like driveway cleaning. We remove normal mold mildew and general dirt stains. Fertilizer Rust, battery acid rust etc is not part of our normal driveway cleaning service. That is a separate quote.

It's really just a matter of explaining in our quote what IS and IS NOT included in the service we are proposing. This prevents any mis understandings of what our services include.

If you walk the property you see the gutters. If you add a line and the customer declines..... Do it anyway. You rig has been parked static with "pretty, colorful, & expensive signs" out front for 1-2 hours... Soooooo all those people that saw your biz, that you didn't see, will see the finished product. BTW we all know what homeowner says when they see their gutters shining!!

Everyone has a different take on things. For me I do the gutters as part of my house wash. The gutters are just a part of the house that get extra dirt y. It doesn't take my helper much time to clean them. Remember most of the houses I do have maybe 60 feet of gutter. And 90% of the time they come clean enough with my house wash. That being said a house wash is like a car wash, after the car wash all the dents dings are still there and need to be treated separate. Same thing like Doug says, hard water, rust, paint, Sharpie, or anything else that doesn't come off with a regular wash would be treated and charged separately.

Brah..... I thought you transitioned away from Residential?

Well I was trying to, and then I had to re-evaluate.

I had to fire my crap customers and it got better lol

One of my mentors kept asking me what I didn't like about it... And then I realized I was putting too much effort and man hours into trying to please people who simply... CANNOT BE PLEASED.
