This is where I'm going to put information on the training class offered Thursday and Friday before the Las Vegas Round Table and Monday and Tuesday after the Round Table.
The Ikeca convention starts Wednesday. So this might be over a week of soaking up information for some of you.
We will have classroom type training on the following:
(A couple of these may be at the Roundtable)
Why filter service and coil cleaning is needed
How to convince the customer of the need
Presenting yourself to HVAC companies
Working with Property managers
Customer Reporting * - (very important)
Billing
Scheduling
Working with temp agencies and what to allow them to do
How to get the best rates when ordering filters.
FRIDAY and MONDAY we will tour the air filter manufacturer and see how they make the filters, the shipping process, and meet the people you may be ordering from in the future.
We are going to have hands on training in the following:
Evaluating the value of a potential account by sight.
We will do driveby's and view rooftops and evaluate them
Bidding accounts and evaluating time involved in a job
We will bid an entire building with various units
Proper measuring for filters
We will measure for filter sizes and make a mock order
Identifying units where you CAN'T use cleanable filters
We will demonstrate wind velocity measurement tools to
evaluate when alternative filter media is needed
Equipment and tools needed
We will provide a list of required minimum tools along with a list
of the "dream toolbox" hint, the minimum is as little as $70.00
Dissassembly of units as required
We will show how to identify access panels and shortcuts
to opening units as well as what parts of the unit to avoid
Safety working with units
We will show the proper safety proceedures when opening
and/or cleaning units
Condenser Cleaning and various types of condensers
Everyone will have an opportunity to clean at least one condenser
Evaporator cleaning and various types of evaporators
Everyone will participate in cleaning evaporators.
Filter Cleaning and installation in various units.
Everyone will clean filters
Methods to make the process faster than the competition
We will discuss tips to speed up the entire process.
Inside filters
We will look at inside filter installations and the pitfalls to avoid with
these.
When to say no to an account (with a tour of what to avoid)
We will show you why some accounts are not desirable
I may add some more later, but this is enough for any attendees to walk away with the confidence to go out and do the work without any fear.
We will be open for questions thoughout the entire training. There are many things we do that might look like we are doing things the hard way. This is where the questions come in. Chances are we are doing things the way we are because we tried it the easy way and flooded someone's office building
This training is $300.00 per person.
You can attend one day or all four days for that price.
I can take credit cards, checks or cash on the spot. I do need to know if who plans to attend at least a week in advance. The air filter mfg tour and some of the rooftops are limited to the amount of people we can bring at once. I also need to plan for transportation because we will be driving around a lot.
Call me at 702-358-7477 if you want to pay by credit card.
Mail a check to:
Sonitx, Inc
845 South Kenny Way
Las Vegas, NV 89107
Either way, email me at tonyshelton@sonitx.com to indicate your intention to attend and I will email you back or call with a confirmation.
We have 4 confirmed attendees for Thursday and Friday at this time.
Be ready to learn!
