Fire cleanup?

Just a sidewalk, not a building. Couch was set on fire on the sidewalk and burned all the way, no one put it out. Just wondering what I might want to try and chems to have with me. Haven't seen it yet.

I've done these several times and sometimes it comes right off and other times I have used graffiti remover carefully and had good success. I then followed up with an acid wash to even things out a bit better. Let the customer know that it may/may not be as good as new. A rotary nozzle may come in handy to remove the bulk of it prior to applying any chemicals.

Smoke Melt from Eacho Chem worked very well for us. We just cleaned a burned out concrete basement walls with it and melted away the soot.

Burned couches have glues etc in them that reform on the ground. Completely different than soot on the walls from my experience.

Did that product work well where the heat was extremely high or just on the smoked up part? I have a wall that I need to do for an insurance company that is mainly sooted up but has a 5 foot section where it appears to have gotten extremely hot.

The product worked great on those burned spots. If the block has been painted it will not get everthing clean because its just burnt fast. You will need a paint stripper for all that.

Thanks all! I let them know right away that some of it may be permanent, it may require special chems and I would consult with my nation-wide network of power washers for the best solution!

Cleaning up after fire strike can be exhausting and needs t be handle properly. You can clean it on your own but a better idea would be hiring expert cleaners who can handle this situation.

Well, I am an expert cleaner, but yeah it's a pain in the a$$

Seems your answer to everything is "hire an expert cleaner(s)" , is it ever a good idea to hire a non expert???????
