A couple of pics from a nice home we cleaned the roof on recently. It was a little warm, with dark clouds on the horizon but we got 'er done.

Great Job Don...

bet you're happy with that one! How long did it take?

Your van looks brilliant,

Thanks on both accounts, Steven!

Somewhere between 2-3 hours. It was hot, so a moderate pace was the order for the day. ;)

How do you move that quickly and still have your ground guy keep up?

We don't consider it to be that quick since we've been doing it for quite a while now. But the ground person always dictates the speed in which we move since they ultimately control the success of the job with regard to plant/landscaping protection. We water/tarp/water, which we find speeds things up a bit. We work laterally in 20-25' distances and work our way up within each section, then come back to the edge and start over with the next section. This keeps the ground person in a smaller area with less to keep up with rather than chasing run-off on the entire side of the building at once. This also slows things down and helps to eliminate mistakes such as catching hoses on plants, sprinkler heads etc.

Don

I noticed that the topiary was burnt in the picture. I also know you didn't do it. We inform the homeowner of these items as soon as we get there, prior to start.

Thats also the beauty of before pictures, Insurance if you will.

Oh ya.. Good job!

Do you still read the posts on TGS? ;)

dumb question

Did you walk this tile roof then? or do you spray it from the gutter edge? oR a bucket truck???

I have run into so many tile roofs lately but have never done one before...

any tips?

Dan

Most of our roof cleaning is done by walking the roof, as this one was. Otherwise we shoot them from the ground, ladders or lifts depending on each situation.

Looks great Don.

Are you getting a lot of calls from the graphics on the Van?

Thanks Chris!

This summer has been one of the best we've ever had. The wrap is working. The internet marketing is working. And I have no doubt the roof cleaning post card campaign in the fall will pay high dividends as well.

I love my job! :D
