Is the company "FleetWash" still around they was in my area taking everyone's business with ultra low prices but I haven't seen them in a while...

Fleetwash got bought out probably a year ago from fleetwash. I dont know if they are still using the fleetwash name or not, or if they do anything other than penske, but they are still around.

I have seen a few of their trucks around, but it my area, they have two corporate names that they work under. Just another competitive thing for them, in case a customer does not like or has heard bad things about Fleetwash.

I had heard that Fleetwash was bought out by Penske.

I also heard that a lot of the Fleetwash accounts were trying to get out of the contracts as the quality of work had been going downhill before contracts were signed but the upper management would not listen to the lower management and now supposedly they are locked into contracts and the work is not up to standards at all.

They are not in my area from what I know but from what I have heard is that they are moving or looking at moving into the Dallas/Ft.Worth area but that is rumors so far, until they buy the property for the wash location and start going after the fleet accounts it is still rumors.

What two names are they using in your neighborhood, Scotty? I'm assuming Fleetwash and .............

They have been sub contracting to various vendors around the country when they cannot get their own franchisees to do the work. It is my understanding they are notorious for low bid and not paying subs well which would explain the poor quality at some locations.

they do ryder in my area , we try to get the account last year ,but they said no becuase they had most of the ryder accounts. and we were couple dollars higher

My understanding is that they had a restructuring with the Roger Penske buyout. I've heard they are rethinking the low bid process since it became so difficult to get subs that would do a quality job at those prices. Quite likely they will come back with renewed energy once they are done restructuring and retooling. You would have to think that if we lose an account it hurts our pocketbook, if they lose a national account it hurts them a great deal more. This poor economy is affecting all of us I guess...

That should have said Fleetwash was bought out by Penske, not Fleetwash was bought out by fleetwash.
