when you say top is that the ceiling? If so I would x-jet it

its not soot it is sulfer residue , do you have hot water ? Second you will need covers for the electronics, you will still need to wash the concrete due to all the chemicals and substances that will come down from the top, also you will need a lift to do them properly (just in case someone has any doubts we did 192 last year) and the chems , well I wont post them not because I dont want you to know I just dont want the liability. Sorry

Also you will need lighting and the store will have to be closed completely then you will still need someone else to be there cause people just love to driv up while you are working at a gas station

Sounds like ths $400.00 job is quickly turning into a $1400.00 :(

landa mhp 3500 4.7 hot water 400,ooo btu russ I understand about chemical liabilty.... everything I do is after hours 12am -6 am (not counting roof washs)

Did the canopys at a bumpers drive in .. Just the underside .. Used hot water 3000psi 4gpm .. also used a light chem mix with purple power degreaser.. Job took 7 hours at 100 per hour ((( Made 700.00 ))) and then had to rinst the concrete off , the powder coat paint on the underside will come off and be everywhere...
Also the top side of the canopy has all kinds of elec. on top usually transformers for lighting as well as speaker system stuff...
But hey you live and you learn...
If I knew that paint on the canopy I cleaned would run off like white water I would have turned the job down... But since Bumpers Drive In is one of my biggest hood cleaning accounts I had no other choice but to clean the canopy and make them happy...GOOD LUCK..
Oh and YOU HAVE TO USE HOT WATER !!!!! Cold will never get it clean.. Trust me..

$400.00 is not bad for the bottom but the top is a different animal all together, I would say double the price or $1000.00 maybe , John B is right on the wiring , there is a world of hurt up there and vwry few weep holes to get the trash thru as well, it will be a night mare:eek:
