Getting more heat from the burner

We have a B.C.E. Hydromax unit that uses a Beckett burner. It has always burned kerosene expect for maybe one or two tanks of diesel.

Lately the water temps aren't feeling as high as they have been(115-130 degrees farenheit), and I would like to know if anybody has any tips for turning up the temp a bit.

Is it a fuel pressure adjustment or something else that may have slipped from factory settings?

This a 3500psi 7.8gpm machine with a 22 horse Kohler and the burner is a DC operated unit which I guess is lees common.

The machine has about 300 hours on it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

You mightneed to run some Red Devil Soot remover through it. Just dump it in your fuel. Another possibility is that the fuel pump pressure might not be high enough, or you might have a Fuel filter that is geting close to being clogged.

Also might try descaleing the coil using Scale Away. It works real good and makes a differance in heat and flow if the scale buildup is real bad.

When was the last time you had your burner tuned up? Dirt gets in the nozzle even with filters and partially blocks the hole, thus reducing the flow.

ok on your burners fuel pump there is a screw that has a nut around it .. install aguage on the diesel pump and turn the screw untill you get about 120 to 130 psi.. then your set.. I will try to get you a pic.. I hope beckett and wayne are close to the same I haqve never had a beckett burner only WAYNE for me .. and 110v only..

If the burner has soot buildup the fire will not brethe as well as it use to.
Try blowing out the coils with air from the exhaust hole.
Fire needs Fuel, Air, and a source of Spark to burn.
If the coils are scaled up your water flow will be less and the water temp will actually be higher than normal. Check the fuel filter first.

Nice to here a friendly voice.
