Gutter Zap Application

Wondering how to apply gutter zap. Just got my first five gallons. Thinking about using a brush on a 8-24' extension. Not sure about spraying. Does it cause spots.

In the past I used (TKO - super conc) straight and pad to scrub gutters. Lot of work.

I spray it, dilluted 2 to 1 for gutters. Yes, it will leave spots on the house if you get it on there, especially on alum siding. Wet the house down before you spray it...........and dont let it dry on glass.

I have also found that the sooner you power wash it off, the better.............dwell time seems to do nothing. Also works better on hot days.

Good luck.

What kind of sprayer do you use to apply chemical? I used a brush a few days ago and that worked pretty good. Seems like the x-jet would use alot of chemical and get everywhere.

Gutters

I use a sureflow pump with a fine spray tip to apply the gutter cleaner. I used gutter zap and put it on 1:1 I would only do about ten feet and wash it off as soon as you put the sprayer down. If you have an extension wand you can hook you'r sprayer to it and apply it with a # 2 tip. You can get ALOT of gutters clean with 5 gallons of zap. Dont waste it spraying it ten feet from the gutter, get your spray tip right up the the gutter one way or another.

You can use a pump up sprayer, backpack sprayer, XJet nozzle, Shure Flo pump, etc.
The most effective way to use Gutter Zap is to premix it in a bucket and dip your brush in it. The brush will hold a lot of liquid. You can then walk with the brush(not scrub) and break the bond with a swipe.

Ron,
Thats how I do it with my gutter cleaner. That way you never have to worry about any overspray and its fairly easy to do. I have a brush on an extension pole that opens 18'. I would be afraid to spray this stuff because of posisbly getting it on the house siding and possibly staining it.

I guess do it the way that works best for you and this way works best for me.

that technique is fine, but then what about the fascia capping? Brushing would only get it on the gutter itself.....
