Gutters that don't clog?????

I have been meaning to post these for quite some time, but just kept forgetting, until the other day there was thread about this subject on RCIA.

These pics are of a brand and type of gutter that is guaranteed not to clog. If they do, the company guarantees to come out and clean them out. I have always recommended to my cusomters to NEVER have any type of gutter protection. Just never seen any that actually keep both the gutters clear and the gutter protection itself clear. In fact if they do have gutter protection like the mesh screen type, I will not clean them out unless the customer allows me to remove the screens. In our area of Houston I recommend that guttters be cleaned out twice a year. Any time I show these pic's I always am able to get 1) the customer to allow me to remove there gutter protection and 2) a twice a year maintenance agreement to clear the gutters and downspouts. Theses pic's are part of my before and after picture album.

Anyone is free to copy thees pics' and use if you think it will help your gutter cleaning service.

Good call Doug. I have never seen a gutter protector that works in all conditions.

In the last few years these foam things came out. If anyone here installs them in MD, please keep installing them so we can rip them out!! We were paid good $$ to get rid of these.

Doug,

I had a customer last year that called us to come out and give her a estimate on her home. When we got there she said the only reason that she called was because the Gutter Hel**t that the local company had installed was clogged up and was over flowing down the side of her home causing mold, when she called the company to come out and clean out the gutters they told her that was her problem since she had to have the lip of the gutter guard cleaned often to keep the stuff from sticking and clogging the gutters. We did get the job and she was very happy with the job that we performed I now tell all my customers that are looking in to buying from them not to!

As for a gutter guard that really does work, we are a dealer for leaffilter you can check them out online at www.leaffilter.com these are very nice although very $$$ and hard to sell since the price is so high and you have to buy in 50' sections which makes it harder to price and not have a lot laying around.

Down here less than 1/2 of houses have rain gutters, people are just tired of cleaning them out all the time.

Sounds like a good money maker for the houses that have the gutters.
