Help. New belts - pump alignment

This belt tensioning and alignment is just a huge sore spot. I wonder if an electric motor mount could work?

William Page welds guide bars so the pump slides between them in alignment.

I have a stop holding a bolt which pushes the pump into tension - freakin wonderful!

Yep you on to it. should have known you guys could buy something off the shelf for the job this would be just the ticket.

This is a serious question Russ. Those belts are " horribly misaligned "?

Yes, horribly. The belt enters and exits the groove by riding on the ridge until it can force itself into the groove. Definitely a belt eater.

Only if the pump rails had a round hole the exact size of the studs on the plate.

I ran maybe 6 or 7 hours fine today. Bought me a strap style come-along and gonna get it corrected tomorrow.

Got it all straightened up good today. Loosened all tensioner bolts and the all mount bolts except the back one under pulley and close to the engine. hooked the come along up to my front rail on my trailer and ran the strap around the pump pulling at an angle to help it swing and come forward on the front of the pump (toward the engine) along with a little persuasion from a 4x4. Then a little fine tuning with the tensioners and she lined up beautifully. Changed engine oil and degreased the engine while the belt guard was off and put new LED lights on my trailer . Ready to spray some more bleach now!
