High volume cleaning

What happens when you link 2 - 8.5 gpm machines to a Maxima 36? You can darn near run...

And who needs a stinkin' firehose for rinsing?

Really cool Russ!

Is that a factory swivel or modified or a different brand?

That guy sure is raising the bar for gas station cleaning.

That looked like a cyclone on the trailer.

I wonder if he was connected to a hydrant or had several supply hoses to the pumps?

Cool Russ J, noticed in the video description that you were instrumental in getting them setup.

Nice work Russ, and that is one tall coil on the trailer, what are the specs on that Russ J?

Chris C this is what I trying to describe about my 16 gpm rinsing, its quick, I never made a video, but most have seen what a difference two 4gpms joined can make,...... but I only use 8gpm in a 30" for cleaning.

I would like dual swivel 40" or 48" to run both of my 8 gpm machines.

The next level from dual swivel is already in development.

That's a factory Whisper Wash swivel. I don't know how he feeds it.

Yea man. Thats good stuff there. We have hooked two 8 together already and loved it.

They running 1/2 inch?

1/2" except the last 100' for ease of maneuverability.

I don't know the specs on his heater...mega BTUs would be my guess. This guy called me about hooking 2 - 4 gpms together, then later called for the 1/2" high volume siamese kit.

I used to run 12gpm on a big guy and with our mix we could basically power walk like the elderly do at the mall in the mornings.

That was great! alzheimers shuffle hahahahaha

Thats amazing a skinny guy like me i wouldnt even be able to hold that rinse wand.

Maybe a dumb question here but where does all that water go after its rinsed? Do gas stations have special drain for the gas and oil that gets rinsed off the concrete bad?

I like how they have a weight on the blue surface cleaner to help hold it from flying in the air.

I wonder if they had to clean the gum at that station also or just clean the concrete, not sure if 17gpm would clean gum faster than 8gpm when the gum is petrified like there in Vegas or here in Texas?

It was cool to see that Maxima cleaning so fast, sure would make cleaning gas stations a lot faster if you could block the entrances so nobody drives around when you are working.

That 50" Steel Eagle sounds very interesting, I wonder if they are going to start marketing it or if they only build them for those that know and ask about it?

Long time Chris T, how have you been?

We have do the alzheimers shuffle with 6 gpm and a water jet. <v:shapetype id=_x0000_t75 class=inlineimg title="Stick Out Tongue" smilieid="6" stroked="f" filled="f" path="m@4@5l@4@11@9@11@9@5xe" alt="" border="0" src="http://www.propowerwash.com/board/upload/images/smilies/tongue.gif" v:shapetype o<>referrelative="t" o:spt="75" coordsize="21600,21600"><v:stroke joinstyle="miter"></v:stroke><v:formulas><v:f eqn="if lineDrawn pixelLineWidth 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 1 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum 0 0 @1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @2 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @3 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @0 0 1"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @6 1 2"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelWidth"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @8 21600 0"></v:f><v:f eqn="prod @7 21600 pixelHeight"></v:f><v:f eqn="sum @10 21600 0"></v:f></v:formulas><V:path o:connecttype="rect" gradientshapeok="t" o:extrusionok="f"></V:path><o:lock aspectratio="t" v:ext="edit"></o:lock><v:shape style="WIDTH: 24pt; HEIGHT: 24pt" id=_x0000_i1025 alt="" type="#_x0000_t75"></v:shape>

It truly is heavy duty action to hold 16/17 gpm , great upper body work out, there is a little science notion that could be used to be a little more efficient

Some of the stations have interceptors, some have adsorbent material in the landscape and some just run in the storm with a filter (installed by the owner/contractor), a lot may also escape to other areas

16 gpm can easily shoot 4 storys without a tip in the wand with significant impact. I havent run it through my maxima yet I will post a video when I do.

Never did shoot 16 gpm without a tip, but did it with a 1/4 hose barb, I was hitting 3 story gutter hard, do the video Greg, how you been, long time no chat

Does anyone downstream with high volume?

Never did it, only at 8...but rinse at 16 on falt surfaces, when you experience 16 and upwards then 8 gpm rinsing seems like a 4 gpm machine.

I think the max I would go for with one man is 16 to 20 gpm after that I would have a second gun to chase,........ its like when we use leaf blowers to gather leaves , a high volume blower in combination with another smaller or two for control and drift....same with water, look at the video again you would see him fighting gravity flow and outer stream run back,..... its a little bit more work/difficult to chase with one gun.

Here was there early attempts ..

I think the use of a 18" to 20" high volume floater is better suited for store fronts and 4ft walks with obstacles

Chris C, cant tell 100% from the video but it looks like a quick surface clean, I know you know this but....... the depth of clean varies with the gpm, psi both at the nozzle, nozzle proximity, nozzle size and nozzle angle both nozzle fan angle and impact angle and direction.

I have cleaned drive thrus with 8 gpm 3600 psi pump head pressure 3 bar 15 deg fan nozzle and 15 deg reactive impact angle with my 30" surface cleaner........ it looked good, better than before, but when i put the 18" surface cleaner with the same spec i described and go over an uncleaned portion of the same surface at the same forward rate , it looks brighter, ..........there is a point of no return with impact, .... you have to then step up to chemical brightening action.

OK,

big fast awsome cleaning,

..but

all

that

RINSING !! !! !!

O M G !!

Instant reclaim is going to be WAY faster considering there's almost NO rinsing.

Seriously..
I'm thinking 10gpm, 220 degrees, 3500psi or better, (for the BEST Quality clean,)
and a 30" Vacuuming surface cleaner, with at 90 to 95% capture .. but so it's not dragging..
should be HALF the cleaning time.
..and WAY less water consumption. (less fuel too !! = $$$ savings !)

What's the point in "going fast" if you don't IMPRESS the customer
in EVERY way.

I really like Russ' point.. going fast makes big systems VERY attractive..
we just have to get 'em Right.

BTW.. Diesel engine system pricing is being refined right now..
You want big.. we build BIG.

Nigel, when you think about it, the classic I have, actually all my surface cleaners only have 2 spray nozzles each.

When you go from 8gpm with a 3 spray bar surface cleaner to a 2 nozzle spray bar you are hitting the surface with the same pressure but more gpm's with the nozzles compared to the 3 nozzle spray bar (the more nozzles you have divides the flow, not pressure but I am sure you know that Nigel), that is why the smaller surface cleaners seem to clean better sometimes.

3 nozzle spray bar with 8gpm's would be 3 of the #3 nozzles so it would be like 2.66gpm's hitting the surface at each nozzle
2 nozzle spray bar with 8gpm's would be 2 of the #4.5 nozzles so it would be like 4 gpm's hitting the surface at each nozzle.

With more gpm's and more spray nozzles, the surface cleaner seems to clean faster but might not be doing enough of the deeper cleaning compared to the 2 nozzle spray bar.

Kind of how if you use a homeowner pressure washer with 3000psi and only 2gpm you can clean but very slow but when you go up to 4 or 5 or 8gpm, you can clean many times faster. The more gpm's, the faster you can clean.

Jerry, I did not know you made a 30" vaccuum surface cleaner. I have the 21" vacuum surface cleaner and I know about the 12" vacuum surface cleaner but did not know about the 30". Is this new or just not talked about much?

This is nothing. You guys should see my wife run back and forth with my 18 in surface cleaner hooked up to the 4 gallon per min machine. She moves like the wind.
